    Welsh back line is appalling ball in hand.

    Could have won that.

    All over 13-9.

    Great French defensive effort, even if the Welsh attack was somewhat timid in the last ten minutes.

    A million times better than I expected

    We were the architects of our own demise

    Another match which was in our grasp but accuracy and skill failed us

    Not sure Biggar is answer if backline needs incision. Perhaps ought to have given Anscombe some minutes there?

    Tactically Biggar was superb but France knew he wasn’t going to run at them tonight

    Easy to defend against

    England have the blueprint to beat France and Smith can, and will, take it to the line.

    @pakman

    Biggar seems a good bloke but I don’t warm to him as a player. Today though, I thought his game management was very good. Most of the opportunities Wales had, he was the architect and also relieved pressure vey well . Anscombe may well be a bit more of a flair player but that’s not much use if you have a load of shed-shiifters outside.

    @MiketheSnow tough luck mate. If your boys had started the tournament like that you’d be in a much better place right now

    Top match. Welsh middle row was superb. Put France under a lot of pressure. Too many errors in the backs though. Thought Biggar was good. Liam Williams a mixed bag. France looks vulnerable and missed the classy Penaud. Carley is a good referee even if strict.

    IMHO France lack an out and out 7.

    French defence was superb even if the rest of their game was subpar (since when is kicking the ball down the middle of the pitch repeatedly a good option?)

    The commentators droning on and on about Jaminet when he tried to "intercept" that cross kick was so stupid and blind. It would have been a try down the other end and he had a French defender behind him, it was exactly the right thing to do. Shame he didn't catch it to shut them up.

    I think this game suggests you can gas the big French forwards. Biggar's kicking game was superb and turned around the big munters at times.
