Not sure whether this guy deserves a mention to be honest, sounds like he was an absolute fuckstain.

I always read articles about him with fascination though.

Addict, millionaire Mark Lyon dies while serving 15-year prison term

An acknowledgement that a diude who noone is going to mourn has left us is not a bad thing.

Pakman Senior used to play tennis with his dad, Cliff, who was a pretty decent bloke.

@Donsteppa that is super sad. Enjoyed his writing and he was an OG of NZ sports journalism. Really feel for his family and colleagues.

RIP TC. What a cool sidekick he was.

Also played a very convincing Sonny Liston in a doco/movie about Ali.

It's easy to forget how old some of the TV stars we watched as a child now are. William Shatner is 91!

Yeah sad that this era of TV stars are dwindling. You look at shows like the A team, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider and of course Magnum PI and realise that while they’re dated and incredibly cheesy it really was a magic era of TV.

I wouldn’t have watched Magnum PI in close to 30 years but still got a bit sad reading TC had passed.

The new Magnum PI appears to be a giant woke shower. The old one was the boss

Shameless name drop - I had the privilege of meeting ONJ a couple of years ago in LA. It was at a big fancy dinner/event, but she was down to earth, very kind and quite talkative. There were plenty of celebs at the event - actors, singers - but she got the biggest cheer when her name was mentioned. I saw other celebs in awe of her and like fans when they saw her.

That’s even better than the time @jegga had lunch with Liam Squire, Joe Moody, Jerome Kaino and Damien McKenzie.

Nothing is better than that. Not even the time I was chatting with Hugh Grant on the phone when he was organising a game of tennis with my employer - and I could hear Liz in the background.
