There's still two big Tests (out of window) to be played this weekend to round out the year so nominations to open thereafter.

Please have your supporting, and opposing arguments handy. (But if you're going to do the latter provide an alternative!)

Nomination threads are ready to rock as soon as @Duluth makes the sub-forum visible.

A quick recaps on the rules as they currently stand:

Nominee must have played at least one Test Match
Form in all levels of rugby is admissible as evidence, but please refer 1
Nominees must be backed with some decent reasoning
Stupid nominations and suggestions will be mocked pitilessly
Good ones will be welcomed
All other rules made up as we go along

The TOTY Committee (i.e., me) is the sole judge of fact and law (even if this phrase is no longer in rugby’s laws).

Will get back to close nominations and set up polls maybe around Christmas, and try and do voting thereafter and for a couple of weeks into the New Year.

I also like the NZ women's team for winning the RWC however just so that there are other teams..

Portugal for getting to the next world cup since their only previous appearance in 2007. Not that any locals can buy tickets! lol

Bonus virtual chocolate fish question, they came last in their pool without winning a game in 2007, but scored their most points in a game against which nation?
