I don't disagree but I'm not sure you've grasped the concept of these threads.

I also like the NZ women's team for winning the RWC however just so that there are other teams..
Portugal for getting to the next world cup since their only previous appearance in 2007. Not that any locals can buy tickets! lol
Bonus virtual chocolate fish question, they came last in their pool without winning a game in 2007, but scored their most points in a game against which nation?

I'd be interested, if only to confirm that: "we aren't as one-eyed as we seem" and/or "Fucken 'ell, we've become pessimistic cynical grumpy old men, isn't it?"

NZ Nominees this year: 8.
Will have to go through the threads to check number of nominees from last year.
And don't have records for years when I forgot to round up the results, and didn't run it ...
