No BBBR! And what happens if Jordie crocked?

Finally get to see Ardie at 12!

What an underwhelming side, almost looks like some newbies being set up for failure...

No debuts for Stevenson or Roigard.

Forwards not great, props and Barrett aside.

Foster was always going to select BB at Fullback.

I didn’t think that was going to happen when Fozzie announced that everyone in the squad was travelling to Mendoza.

    Happy to see Lord starting.

Just a little bit worried about our set piece defence if they attack down that left side and we have a defensive formation of Ioane/Clarke/Beauden. Yet to see that work at test level.

Gee, wasn't expecting that selection. A mix of new & new-ish guys (Lord, Narawa) and the old guard (BB & Clarke). Narawa not a surprise as Foster pegged him a few months back as a bolter but a second row without SW or BBBR was a surprise, at least SB will be able to lead I guess.

My only thoughts on Clarke and BB is hoping Foster is giving them a chance to shine. Possibly one last one.

Nah, throw 'em in the deep end..... 😎

But seriously I'm Ok with the newbs as there's enough experience there.

We are down 3 2nd 5s - ALB, Havili and QT.

Ioane has played some 12 in his time so I guess he’s the back up.

Possibly, although as ACT Crusader* has pointed out, Rieko has played there.

@Victor-Meldrew thing is, a lot of that experience is not exactly the experience that is in top form.

Well fuck. I know I said I expected BBBR or SW would be rested, but I did expect to see ONE of them on the bench at least. And if I have to suffer a Frizzle, then Paps, Cane and Ardie better play their arses off. Pleased for Narawa and Lord. Christie is still ginga. Meh.

Most gutted for Stevenson, this was likely his biggest shot for time given he is only there as cover for Telea.

A few good calls otherwise, based on actual form, some on reputation, however tarnished.

Similar to laulala. Scott Barrett will really have to stand up, coles will have to niggle like a bastard, Jordie needs to stay on the pitch playing like last year, and I hope to god that BB and Clarke find some mojo.

    Also go DMac

Weak defence down the left side in particular is a worry. RI And CC positional defensive work has not been great.. Usually saved by Reikos pace, but that's often after the damage has been done.
And I am also not convinced BB is a strong defensive 15.
Hope Lord has a good game, and Frizzel needs to show why he's even in the squad as SB can't do it on his own..

Can see Pumas winning this one.

May not be team I would of picked, but no probs really, it's WC year, and we got Boks next week, so guess they want to look at a few thing? I a little surpised but pleased that Lord has got a start, makes sense to see how DMac goes running the ship too, no real big prob with a fairly heavy start for players who have not played for a few weeks, freshen up won't hurt them. Perhaps Stevenson may have been worth a look, but as he really only injury replacement for Telea who seems is close to right, maybe he will be out of squad nest week anyway.

Makes sense to see how D Mac runs the ship?? How many games do you think we have before the World Cup? If BB is a FB why wasn’t he playing there all SR. I get that some players need a rest, but this is a weird team. Ofa and Casey’s little brother should have been gone a long time ago. I think Fozzie is up to his same old tricks and we’re going to see the same old results. I would love to be proven wrong.
