    Re the come back:
I don't think it was down to Smith and Mo'unga.

The come back was on before that.

Stevenson scored with Christie and DMac on the field.

I'm putting it down to our forwards sorting their shit out.

And I'll have to watch again, but didn't think DMac went that badly.

Kinda the same thoughts re Christie, but he's my No.4 No.9 ...

When Mo'unga came on I said to Pakman Jr. that if we won I expected RM would get kudos, but that the AB pack had turned things around and that DMac would have looked fine playing behind that.

Sam Whitelock my MOTM. If he fails to flip McDermott coming up to halftime Wallabies win that.

Samipeni with the hard shoulder in that carry.

Did I miss something about Finau's hard shoulder?

    Keeps coming up

Jason Ryan referred to picking guys with a "hard shoulder"...tough in the tackle and in the carry.

Has turned into a bit of a running gag as the reason the likes of Finau and Tamaiti are in and Sotutu Stevenson and Akira are on the outer.

Every other Allblack winger has been mustard this year so far. Doesn't bode well

    Is mustard good or bad?

Tis very good.......in lock stock and two smoking barrels parlance.

Now watched the 2nd half, and that turnaround has everything to do with a hugely improved forward effort, much faster service (and leadership) from 9, and a 10 who was just keeping the pattern going. Mo’unga did well by not trying to do too much, and nailed his core roles with accurate passing, excellent high ball work, and ice cold goal kicking.

I imagine that the defensive stats are pretty contrasting for the 1st versus 2nd half.

Honestly, I think Dmac can play that game and did that in the opening 8 minutes of the half where he was accurate and not trying to do too much. However he also had front fall ball and back to back penalties to help get the territory, he’s got to improve and help us get that territory.

Whitelock has to be MOTM, he was just outstanding.

Finau had a fantastic debut, I loved how he took on the ball carrying during the second half.

Big shout out to Coles who I thought was also really good.

@Bones Are you just allergic to praising Mo'unga and criticising DMac?

@Bones has a documented Mo'unga derangement syndrome, it's easy to filter out if you're aware of it. It's sad but it's not going to change and it's best just to acknowledge it and to get on with things.

Brilliant. I've been vocal since last year about how Beauden is cooked and Mounga is the way forward, then I criticise Christie and canerbry has to stop his fufu over Mounga mid stroke because apparently I've an issue with Mounga 🤣 where's that documentation?

Are you saying it's deranged to think Mounga is our best ten?

    Good start

    Less good finish

Happier than I was last week

Should add I've only seen first 20 minutes + highlights.

Thanks for clarifying. Essential to have everything up front and out in the open.

Watched the first half and have to agree. The forwards put themselves under a lot of pressure in the 1st 20 with mistakes - particularly Sami T & Laulala. D was good - kept the score down

Def. shift in the 2nd 20 mins and the error rate dropped significantly, though DMac's kicking was poor.

Kinda the same thoughts re Christie, but he's my No.4 No.9 ...

@pakman Only lost two tops though right?

Seems we've figured out our two top hookers need game time to at least be serviceable. Coles should probably be number two from now on...

Not looking that flash for Retallick and Ennor off for scans on knee injuries.

    Fark.

Feel for Ennor, but we can replace him.

Well he played on for about 5 minutes before being replaced. Hopefully that is a good sign.

Did I imagine Ardie kicking like a 12 at one point of the game?

Replace Ennor as a 13 backup? Not a great range to choose from but I assume big L's stock has risen..

There were a lot of missed tackles by the midfield backs in both teams in this game. ALB was the best of them, only missing one tackle.

It was actually a contestable kick, which our guys knocked on

Yeah as I said, well executed. But he was 3 on 1 and should've passed instead
