    isnt that flash forward soemthing to do with the Lost team? I steer clear of anything that uses Lost as a reason to watch it! <br />
    <br />
    Yeah I like the Mentalist too, as you say, light hearted but with the darker story running trhough, and for the most part, most of how he solves things is explainable, not merely just he thinks it, and basically outwits them to get the answer.<br />
    <br />
    As for Horatio Caine...the looks, the turn of the shoulder to look into the distance while explaining to someone they are busted....oh, and the Hummer for the Police vehicles? C'mon!! <br />
    <br />
    ***Spoiler <br />
    <br />
    Tim; on Dexter, yeah I think the whole family thing is what has ruined it IMO, deviates his character away from what made him. Given his meticulous attention to detail, seeing him make all these elementary errors detracts form the show, so while ridding the show of one of the reasons he has been distracted, while appropriate, seemed pointless.<br />
    <br />
    Will still watch it if another series is made, as I still like it, but not with the enthusiasm I used to.

    Yeah, totally agree. The family man thing brought the focus onto the stuff that the show is shit at.

    I saw Day of the triffids Teejay and totally agree. Hard to put your finger on it exactly but it was crap. No suspense, no drama, an irritating as fuck bad guy....also they changed a few things from the book which wound me up. They truly butchered it.

    Currently watching House, Bones, Mentalist, Psych, NCIS, Leverage and White Collar. Looking forward to the return of CSI (I like it with Lawrence Fishburne, going back to its roots has really helped IMO), Warehouse 13 and Lie To Me.

    have watched House sporadically and have never really caught on. But watched the season opener last week when he was committed and thought it was bloody good TV. Laurie is excellent.

    Watched the first 2 episodes of Caprica yesterday. So far so good, I liked it.<br />
    <br />
    Also love House. <br />
    <br />
    Lost interest in, er.. Lost after season 1 and a bit, when it became clear they were making it up as they went along and had no fucking clue where their show was going.

    As in Battlestar? Is this a Gallactica spin-off or am I confusing myself?<br />

    Awww, you should you have stuck with it. They thought up a lot of good things as they went along - then got some proper writers in to make it a good series. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

    I also watch Criminal Minds, but not religiously, it is one of the better Crime ones where they deal with the psycho's, seems to have a little more realism to it than some of the CSI's.<br />
    <br />
    Been watching all the X-Files on The Box, been good watching the ones I some how missed all those years ago. <br />
    <br />
    Can't wait for the new series of 2.5 Men and Big Bang theory.<br />
    <br />
    As to Lost, which I have watched since the start, I have a horrid feeling we will get to the end and we will get some pathetically lame ending (like Jack wakes from a nightmare) or one that simply leaves loads of doors open for a spin off....

    New shows from 2009/2010 US season that I am watching and enjoying include (1) Caprica (2) Community (3) Modern Family (4) Castle (5) Glee (6) White Collar (7) The Good Wife. Also enjoyed the 2nd season of Dollhouse, which just ended. Joss Whedon got to speed it up and really advance the show once he knew it was DOA. <br />
    <br />
    I watched the Lost 2hr premiere last night. Pretty good. So many small details and things to notice. But no spoilers in this thread.<br />
    <br />
    The "must see" shows on my DVR series record list currently include (1) Friday Night Lights (best show on TV!) (2) Better off Ted (3) Chuck (4) Breaking Bad. And Season two of Party Down which starts in April.

    Prequel. Set 50 years or so before the Cylons nuke the 12 colonies. The show centers around how the first Cylons where created, and the role of two families in the creation, the Greystones and the Adamas.

    And Eric Stoltz is in it. He's good, but they need to let him be more creepy.

    Maybe they should get Cronenberg to direct some episodes. <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

    I will get Community, Modern Family and White Collar on your recommendation Rusty as we have usually agreed on tv shows. Although I am worried your tastes have been corrupted what with glee being included in there.<br />
    <br />
    Dollhouse was good but also annoyed me - I thought the bad guy choice was a cop out but probably forced on them by the ending of the series.<br />
    I actually think Epitaph would have been a good series on its own (without the new characters who annoyed me also).<br />
    <br />
    Friday Night Lights is a good show (actually great in S1 and S3) but it has taken me until the latest episode to warm to the new characters (who have seemed like poorly drawn retreads of Matt, Tara, and Smash, less so Smash I guess.)

    Hmm, now I'm conflicted - oh well, I'll just watch the first episode and see.
