Josh VDF was disappointing. Rate him big time but that was a limp display tonight.

He was essentially battling Cane and Ardie in tandem too.

@chimoaus I wasn't surprised one but that we dominated their scrum, I was telling my mates that we'd have the edge in that area and they looked at me a bit funny, buying into the Irish hype. The Samoan scrum murdered them before the world cup and the boks got the better of them too in that area, and apart from the PT where we took a gamble by putting Whitelock up, we probably won that area too.

Onto poached egg, creamy mushroom and sausages on toast. Washed down by a nice cuppa tea, and an even nicer stout. I may regret this, but fark it, the sun is shining. Let's goooooo

fuck Ireland should have been penalised 20 phases earlier for sealing off

    Kneck roll on RI too

German commentators went "THAT'S IT, NZ WON, CLEAR NECK ROLL" and I was waiting for the TMO to say something. Where was Jonker when you needed him?

I’m convinced that Barnes and Jonker are in the movie production game, because the drama of not making any call until the Irish players could do no more and several AB players hunched over, to the crescendo of the Whitelock breakdown penalty was a thing that will be spoken of for the ages.

    Well played Barnes!

My guess is Dan Coles. They have a bit of history.

It'll be a big road back with lots of retirements before next cup, I think they'll go down before (if) they come back to current level

Barnes was great. Raynal would have killed us and Jack O'Peyper would have ignored the breakdown

Generally okay. But made some rough calls that all seemed to go against us in the second half

Put 40 in the book next week. Semis are usually tense but this will be over real quick.

@Daffy-Jaffy one of the most significant factors they identified was scrum penalties. Their prop bored in to get dominance and got pinged.

I thought Wayne Barnes was good on big decisions including yellow cards but allowed a little too much at breakdowns which he usually does. And then pinged us unfairly - LF turnover when Sam had cleared ruck.

Cane and Jordie more deserving IMO

I really don't think any of them give a fuck, TBH. Least of all Cane.

Bollocks. Ardie was massive. The motor on the man is unbelievable. Cane steeped up but Ardie does this shit every time he plays.
