@Nepia It's a very descriptive name - Penang Road Famous Laksa.
Just beware it's not actually on Penang Road! 5 Lebuh Keng Kwee
Thoroughly recommend the food tour
https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionProductReview-g660694-d25010834-Penang_Evening_Walking_Foods_Tour-Penang_Island_Penang.htmlBest $60 you will spend. Go hungry!!!
$60 for food in Malaysia? Oh wait, that's the food tour. Probably the single best tourist activity I did in Vietnam was the Hanoi Walking Food Tour (was about 10 years ago so $20) so it's always good to see if other food tours can measure up.

Went to the BBQ Hut in Mangawhai at the weekend. Good operation run by a decent bloke.
However, they had some home made fermented hot sauce - pineapple ghost pepper. It's rocket fuel, but has good flavour. I have a small pottle, it will last me some time. #heatlife or something

@Machpants Bad habits in Paihia has.cracking food, much appreciated.
I don't think I really get the concept of what kind of retailer they are, but hey looks like it works!
The lamb shoulder burger was fucking phenomenal, Bonesetta was stoked with her popcorn chicken tacos too.
100 odd bucks for those, two hazys and 3 wines. Absurd value.

@nzzp nah hit Welly last Friday, in EB with an award winning butcher a 3 min walk away. Tomahawk for 30 bucks is something I wasn't going to pass up.
Edit: forgot to high note, also have my Xmas buddy Chris Martin's 4 square around the corner from that.
