@SBW1 Yup, 100% agree. NZR need to ask themselves if there's some sort of rule that they can only retain one experienced, innovative senior coach at a time. They could retain both Sir Wayne AND Joe, you know.

NZ Rugby is becoming a lot like Aus Cricket in that there was a prolonged period where they exported a lot of exprienced coaching talent followed by a period where less experienced coaches had to steer their national team. Not quite there yet, but...

    Joe will sort them out,
A strong Australian rugby scene is very vital to NZ rugby with out it SR,Rugby Championship and Bedisloe will just fade away and will become things that no one really cares about.

Australia is pretty close to home, wether he takes up the role or not who knows, but Australia Rugby are chasing him.

    22 - not even a full squad.

Omissions immediately apparent to me include:

    • Lord (not RWC squad)
    • Finau (not RWC squad)

    Others?

@booboo yeah looks to be those that were in the last AB squad. Maybe the others have been spoken to individually and given their own "plan"?

Some will be still on leave, they come back in dribs and drabs. The change will be pushed by what Razor and Co see during SR I guess

@booboo yeah, could be only part of the squad to maintain some secrecy around possible new caps for the upcoming season
    OR
Razor has invited current ABs only and he's giving them either the 👍 or the 👎 as he walks past them on the training field.

    Example:
Razor: "I'm sorry, Finlay. Thank you for your service."

    Finlay: "But coach..."

Razor: "Don't make this harder than it already is."

It makes perfect sense to start with a basis of a squad formed from the guys that were there.

    All would have reasonable expectations.

Just trying to work out if anyone from last year missed out. Lord and Finau the only two I could think of.

And whilst I agree re Christie Razor has to find 2x better 9s. They're probably there but let Super take it's course.

    @booboo I agree, but I couldn't resist having a little fun at Christie's expense.😔

He tried to talk around it but it's clear that he wants a relaxation of the NZ based players rule. I wonder if NZR will put out a clarification statement like they did last time
