You should probably avoid Japan and Asia then.

A friends kid, just home from school. “ How was school Tom?”

“Not good. Dan got in trouble cos he said fluffybunny. He called another kid a fluffybunny and the teacher heard him say fluffybunny. I never say fluffybunny because it’s a rude word and you can get into trouble for saying fluffybunny”

Have to admire the little fluffybunny really.

    Random drunken comments:
My niece/nephews visited me recently. My nephews were particularly interested in watching me solve the Far-Cry-3 Computer-based-puzzle. Which has considerable swearing in it. (And Te Reo, which fucking threw me). And a tit-watch >0 - but they didn't get to see that.
Anyway - whenever there was a bit of cussing (worst it got was pretty much mofo), I'd say to the computer - "Sshh, watch your mouth, children present!"
My elder nephew would always say "It's alright, we hear heaps of swearing in music".
To which... I didn't/don't know what to think. I always assumed they'd hear it all from mates and what-not, and therefore I wasn't really corrupting them, but the defence of "in music" - made me wonder What-The-Actual-Fuck?

People who impose their life-style and diet on their animals - mainly dogs it seems - and damage their heath and well-being. I like dogs and can see why they are great - my neighbour has a black Lab and I'm in awe of their relationship - but one would be too much of a tie for us.

But watching the shit some owners stuff into their, fat, clearly unhealthy dogs make me really angry as well as want to almost throw up. Chips, ice-cream, Mars bars, popcorn, hot-dogs, beer, you name it.

You're damaging them, you Irresponsible fluffybunnies.

Yep. A couple of my neighbours who can best be described as salad dodgers got a pup from the same litter as ours. 10 months on, ours is about 22kg and theirs is over 30kg. They’re nice people at it’s a lovely dog but they’re building up issues for the poor mutt in the years to come. Heartbreaking.

Well they are just fluffybunnies. But then again you’ve already said vegans. Forgive my tautology.

This. We sponsor a couple of cats (and dogs) at a local Rescue Centre and been told it causes serious problems, particularly with house cats. Cats are carnivores - they eat rodents as it's good for them. They eat grass when they are ill, you ignorant fluffybunnies

Checks thread, yep Grumpy Old Man, speaking of dogs, most of Australia's insistence on allowing dogs anywhere including where I eat my meals. This is fresh in my mind as the other day I was in Double Bay and the local council by-laws specifically ban dogs from inside cafes and restaurants, so I was quite pleased to see that. If I won lotto this week I'd move into a small one bedroom in the suburb. 🙂

A dog is a dog, not one of your bloody kids. I don't need it sniffing on me while I'm trying to eat my bacon.

@Nepia I don't like people with toy dogs who take them everywhere. The sort of people who insist on taking their pathetic pooches to Bunnings. The whole concept of permitting dogs in there was to enable tradies to not have dogs outside in the heat.

This could go in the Politics thread but I suspect it's the same all over the Western world. Besides it's def. GOM material...

I help run the local Village Hall which is a registered charity with the aim of providing "space for sports, leisure and educatioinal activities in xxxx village". We have a turnover of c. £25k a year and it's run by 3 volenteers. Each year we do an online return to the government Charity Commission. This year, and I kid you not, we've been told to provide details and copies of the following policies:

    • Internal charity financial controls policy and procedures
    • Safeguarding policy and procedures
    • Diversity and Diversity training policy and procedures
    • Financial reserves policy and procedures
    • Complaints policy and procedures
    • Serious incident reporting policy and procedures
    • Internal risk management policy and procedures
    • Trustee expenses policy and procedures
    • Trustee conflicts of interest policy and procedures
    • Investing charity funds policy and procedures
    • Campaigns and political activity policy and procedures
    • Bullying and harassment policy and procedures
    • Social media policy and procedures
    • Engaging external speakers at charity events policy and procedures
    • Data protection procedures
    • Disabled People and Inclusion policy and procedures
    • Mental Health and Wellbeing procedures
    • Health and Safety Procedures
    • Fire & Emergency Evacuation procedures.

You just can't make this shit up.

That would be against the Environmental policy.

Just be lucky your not tendering for a commercial contract

Last one I had to respond to ( while I was on fucking holiday just to ensure I remain grumpy)

200 odd pages of snowflake shit 15 of our actual solution and pricing

    Beggars belief

Fortunately over 30 years of reading the Fern allowed me to fabricate sufficiently to win

And the fluffybunnies who want this shit don't even talk to each other.

Fire regulations say all doors must be able to opened from inside by kids even if locked - sensible and easy to regularly check. Safeguarding regulations say door must be unlockable from the inside if kids are in the premises so kids can't leave unaccompanied.

    Go figure.
