Highlanders probably good for a couple of upsets this year.

Totally. If we can sort out our breakdown (need to balance the loose forward trio) we'll keep more ball, concede less penalties and less points.

Am I allowed to say I was robbed. I had Blues by 9=16, he needed to miss that last conversion!
I will say I enjoyed it in all honesty, it was ok. The Blues were what Cotter talked about , seemed to make sure they did ok in the phisical stuff.

Definitely a contender for worst commentary performance in super rugby history... and that bar was already low.... but I think they may have got it.

Good effort from the Landers. Poor goalkicking and the try and YC before halftime changed the game.

Blues good in patches today. Restarts could be better along with other parts of their game but it is early in the season and I do think the Blues will get better.

Blues might want to change goal kickers. Leaving some points out there.

Is this Broughton the guy I kept hearing needed to be in ahead of Renton? He's been dismal.

    Yeah, he's a bit of a lightweight.

@KiwiMurph A workmanlike performance from him. Nothing amazing, but he toiled well out there.

I felt sorry for McTainsh, who is a good commentator. He was surrounded by clowns.

Think it was more so fans wanted to see him get a chance to see what he can do. Renton was hooked at half-time because he was equally dismal.

Broughton might not be the answer, but our loose trio was totally out played in all facets.

Sounds like being at the game and not having to listen to the circus was the right choice.

With regard to the commentary, I heard on the Between Two Posts podcast this week that there was some work done at AAMI and there’s a metal bar obstructing the view from the comms box.

That, however, does not excuse Joey Wheeler’s presence.

McWhannell and Telea were the obvious standouts for the Blues, with Sullivan not far behind.
I like what of saw of Tavatavanawai. When is he eligible ?

I thought it was good game , and if I was a Clan supporter, I would be reasonably happy. I can see them going alright over the season, and can see a good future for the team with some of the young fellas. Patchell seems to of been a good buy too.
For Blues, once again their supporters should be well pleased, there was a lot to like the way the first half they rolled up sleeves and did the donkey work, had Cotter's fingerprints all over it.
