@Victor-Meldrew doesn't sound like dry humour... but maybe over my poor colonial head?
Currently watching True Detective: Insomnia... that's dark enough for me this week. -

Dune Part 2 had plenty happening and there will need to be a Part 3. Definitely better than Part 1.
Amaaaazing movie, the sound..the fucking sound. Even re watching Part 1 its unbelievable. Your seat at times vibrated it was that intense.
They deviated from the book a bit but thats to be expected.
has to be seen on the biggest screen you can find (i watched on a V-max screen)
Some stunningly filmed sequences, the nearly 3 hours just flew by. Will be seeing it again for sure -

Great feedback on Dune. Will go and see it with the girl on Sundee night I think.
Movie series NEVER stop at two so a trilogy was always a given.
Dune Parts 1 and 2 complete the first book.
Theres still several more books in the saga to go. Though i doubt they will all make it to the big screen
They get very weird..
Sounds like Denis Villeneuve does plan to make at least 1 more movie but has talked about that been several years down the track. -

feeling a bit tired this morning given Part 2 didnt finish till nearly midnight.Yep there was a 15mm 'Intermission'/innings break between the 2 films.

Next Goal Wins. "Documentary" based on the true story of Thomas Rongen coaching the American Samoa Football team. Written and directed by Taika Waititi with Michael Fassbender as Rongen.
One of the funniest films I've seen - bloody brilliant. Fantastic comedy performance by Fassbender playing it absolutely straight.
5 Maradonna Hands-of-God out of 5 Fred Dagg place-kicks.

I just saw Oppenheimer. And wow, the editing. And Florence Pugh.
But Kenneth Branagh should be tarred and feathered for making a Danish born and bred physicist sound Prussian (or even further east).
He's as overrated an actor as ... sigh ... takes a pause... -
The Sweet East
Sean Price Williams is a gifted cinematographer, and the screenwriter is a guy I have chatted with occasionally for a decade on twitter.
This was supposed to be the irony poisoned movie for our times. It was okay, but mostly fell flat. I recognized and enjoyed the Tom Meyers/Cum Town reference.
Eh.

@MN5 'I'm a peacock, flying into a rainbow'
Going to save that for an inappropriate social scene.
Their reactions when he moves the fork are hilarious…..
….as the comments say, Mark Wahlberg spends the entire movie either angry or confused or both.
Class comedy all round
