Also the fact he'll get paid a shit ton more with the most successful team in EU and also be pretty much straight into Scotland squad
Doubt it. Poaching NZers is SOOOOO 90s.
The Scots prefer Saffas and Tongans these days

Who can blame him? He'll get double the money and a much higher chance to play international Rugby.
NZR insisting on only playing NZ-based players in the All Blacks is a gigantic and unfair restraint on players' earnings. South Africa are World Champions in Rugby and Argentina World Champions in Football, despite (or perhaps partially because of) having players from leagues all around the world.

@sparky I don't blame him at all. It leaves the Crusaders with a flush of green first fives to pick from next year. Experienced overseas 10 will be in hot demand during the off season.
There must be some crap welsh player at the tail end of their career who can be lured to super rugby. What’s not to like about Rhys Patchell?

Former Wasps centre Sam Spink will join Saracens from Australian club Western Force for next season.
The 24-year-old spent nine years at Wasps before signing for the Perth-based side in 2023.

(Just correcting your maths, coz everyone loves that: 15 ... but your point still stands.)

@booboo I went by him signing with Force last year, being younger last year and all
Fair.
Child prodigy nonetheless.
