    RIP Psycho.

One of the many legends who made wrestling so fun to watch.

Loved his antics in the ring, one of the scariest looking wrestlers of all time

Had he been unwell for some time? I thought I read there were some ceremonies conducted for him earlier in the year? A coronation?

He had the celebration for his 18th anniversary of ascending to Te Kingi earlier this year and last week held a hui with all political parties invited to discuss the coalition governments treatment of Maori.

Had scheduled heart surgery that he didn't come through

IMO a big loss for Maori and the nation. He wasn't afraid to move away from the ceremonial role of Te Kingi and get involved in the dirty business of politics but always stressed the need for unity and that we were one nation. A necessary counterpoint to the more radical calls for separatism.
