@Victor-Meldrew Ratima did have a stinga after great hit on Korobete
Maybe he was struggling with it - otherwise surely he should have been on longer

Looks like the ABs switched off early in the 2nd half, just as I did.

Or did Aus pull themselves out of the fire, cos that's what would be best.

What is it though, our final quarters are poor, is it overall fitness, or is our bench just that much of a drop?

@nta will be gutted he missed that comeback, especially when you consider he’s gone to watch a band who’s sole claim to fame is a shitty cover of ‘Black Betty’

Exactly what I'd expect from someone who only listens to Top 40 radio.

You know that’s not true. Terrible trolling.

He's got the ABs playing pretty good rugby for 40-60 minutes. I wouldn't say Foster had the team looking this good for those periods

Have a look at the last 3 games of the RWC and tell me we haven't gone backwards and Robertson has this team looking better for longer periods.

You can thank the Wallaby coach for that. It seemed like a dumb move at the time to not keep him in AB rugby

He wouldn't stay mate. Was a pissed at the timing of Razor being given the job etc.

Thing that keeps coming into my head is the team isn't fit enough for our game plan. To be repeatedly run down in last 20 minutes and way it's happening says nothing else to me. They look gassed metally, and really truglling, which usually means brain is getting starved of oxygen? It's happening to often to draw any other conclusion!

It wasn’t just the last 20, they scored 3 points in the second half. Failed to build pressure. Lots of things were off:

    • scrum didn’t dominate. I expected more.
    • Damien didn’t ice try scoring opportunities
    • our back line attack looked off in 2nd half. ALB?
    • Ardie turned the ball over a number of times on attack
    • we didn’t win collisions on d. A real lack of offensive tackling.I hate seeing players carrying the attacker backwards in your own 20, looking for them to fall for a turnover opportunity. Is that because we are gassed?

@Donsteppa I'm more interested in finding out who's in charge of conditioning... This person needs their credentials checked.

Nick Gill.. over a decade he's been in charge of S&C for the AB's

I know he got an average feedback review from the players under Fozzie so surprised he still there under new regime

“It’s a fair question, we didn’t finish that game as well as we could have, it was talked about in our review and we have got some younger men starting their Test careers as well,” Assistant coach Jason Ryan

What utter bullshit, who were or best players? Sititi, Ratima, and Vai. Hardly test legends, so it's nothing to do with number of caps as it our more experienced players letting us down. It's a coaching team with is head in the sand over the actual performances of experienced players, and the requirements of modern test rugby

@Dan54 yea its fast from the get go, instead of the last 20 mins, but the 7-8 guys left on the field don't have fitness to sustain 80mins.
It kinda explains the smaller loosies and 6 outside backs starting though lol.

The big headline is Razor 'we found a way' oh how awesome 'found a way' to not throw away a lead of 21. You must be so proud. Cock

@Machpants It's his lack of honesty that is most surprising.

Most other All Black coaches would have said something like "played poorly, still won, lots to work on." Robertson tried to spin it as some sort of great and historic victory. Does he think the NZ Rugby public are fools?

I suppose it's historic for Surf Features himself to not be on the losing end of a Bledisloe campaign...

Seriously, watching the All Blacks has just become like watching a Bay game was for many years. "Go the clock!" when we're in the lead. Then quietly checking the maths on whether the opposition still has enough time left to score X times or not.

I'm not sure if it is lack of honesty, that may just be his personality - the way he looks at things, always positive. But it is not realistic enough for test match rugby IMO

Never met the guy and never will, but yeah, he does come across as a cock in his press conferences.

I might be a bit old school but I preferred the grumpy old man approach after a below par performance, like Ted and shag would give it ,

call it what it is not sugar coat it .

    @Dan54

I agree that the players don't seem up to sustaining the game plan but the bench mismanagement doesn't help.

I'd like to see Tuipulotu at least back on the bench for leadership and impact.

If Vaa'i is now the best lock they need to consider bringing off the captain like SA do.

They could also consider an up the middle game plan from the bench players - aiming to maintain possession after the initial burst of points from the starting XV.
