Fuck you've got Dhoni, whose main trick as a keeper is lightening fast stumping's, and Ronchi plays a simple forward defensive shot outside of the crease? Batting 101... when you are playing a spinner stay in your fucking crease unless you are charging to get to the pitch of the ball...

Its because Ronchi is fuckin' stupid!

Lucky we have batting allrounder Southee out there now to smack out a ton...

I would settle for them blocking and taking singles, and putting the half dozen bad balls away from here on out and we might scratch out another 40 runs.

Yet again our middle order adds 5/8 of fuck all. Taylor at least got 44 today, but after him, Anderson 6, Ronchi 1, Santner 7, Southee 13.

FUCKING FUCKING SHIT. Can't one fucking person stick around and not be a dumb fuck and get out to a fucking part-part timer??

There are 10 overs to go, we only have 2 wickets in hand, and we're barely over 200 runs.

    FUCK.

To be fair Neesham is still in, and batting how I would expect all of the above can and should do.
We don't need to blast every 2nd ball, we should understand we need to build a score and it seems pretty obvious that you can afford to be patient.

Ronchi absolutely should get dropped - this is three woeful bats in a row, and I'd back Watling to get 45 off 60. That lets Southee Henry Boult tee off and make up the deficit run rate wise.

Anderson must be close to making way also. Is Nicholls touring?

He really needs to. Big problem with our team is that we don't really have a batting all rounder. If Latham keeps then we can have a batsman at 5, Anderson at 6, Neesham at 7 and Santner at 8 followed by three bowlers. If you have a keeper in there, then Anderson has to bat 5. Right now our middle order is struggling because Anderson is batting at 5 and he isn't up to doing that. Ronchi also shouldn't be there at all going forward (I can see why you would want him in India). The selectors are sticking with Devcich because they realise they need a batting all rounder but he just doesn't seem to be up to the task.

Anderson shouldn't even be in the side. He's not good enough or consistent enough to be there as a specialist batsman. With Ronchi shit, Santner for some odd reason having a bad tour with bat and ball, and Southee squandering the talent he has on 9/10 outings, our middle-lower order is too weak.

Thank god for Neesham right now. He and Henry are dragging our score towards respectable.

Fuckin' streaky shot for his 50, but well played Jimmy. Needed that, and you've set an example to the rest of the squad.

Will post this - should Ross move down to 5? Bringing in which ever is the best top 4 batter back in NZ in. (Maybe not for this tour)

And Neesham gets fifty. Rather shocked that it is his first! But well done that man. Top shelf stuff when things were looking dire.

    NZ 259/8.

Neesham and Henry doing bloody well here. Showing what happens when you don't be a dick, just accumulate runs and put away the bad ball.

    Two overs to go, 268/8.

Henry having some fun this over against Yadav. 0, 6, 4, 4, 1...bugger, Neesham out on the last ball.

    283/9.

That was a new NZ record for the 9th wicket, too.

Taylor needs a bit of time to warm up. I think at 5 you want someone who is an accumulator. You want someone who can knock it around for singles and is not too reliant on boundaries. Elliott was superb in that role.

285 is a decent score but the pitch looks very good for batting. Will be tough to defend.

There's nobody back in NZ that comes even close to being as good as Taylor, and as @hydro11 says he's the kind of player that starts slow and accelerates his innings later on - he plans to bat the innings every time which is why he has so many tons.
