@taniwharugby string them up by their scrotum. You don't fuck with a mans hilux.
I've got a four litre v6 hilux today as a courtesy car. I don't want to give it back.
I'm taking the loooooong way home. -

Nah don't string them up by the nuts.
Tie their nuts to the towbar and head off road.

There is nothing in the world more manly than a Hilux.

@taniwharugby And there I was recovering from finding out what a circle jerk literally was ... and you go and put up a story like that. Another panic attack - had to go and take the rotor out of my hilux (yes some classic vehicles still have a rotor). If it had an alarm I would go and set it.
I'm going for lie down. Today has just been too much.
@antipodean When it gets to 20 years old we will see.

Oh, and scum who steal hiluxes don't have nuts, balls, or any other sort of genitalia. They don't even qualify as fluffybunnies.
I really am upset now. Swearing on the interthing and people comparing brand new Mercedes to hiluxes. The bloody world has gone mad.
-
@antipodean cant see Crumpy driving that thing.

That thing will broken down about 500 times before the Hilux is even due an oil change.
Hiluxes rule.

@Snowy I love that model of hilux, whenever I see one it reminds me of being my boys age and chucking all our gear in the back of my mates dads hilux and dropping us off where the track ran out and telling us he'd pick us up in a couple of days. They are getting a bit thin on the ground now but last time I saw him he still had that hilux.
-
The newer ones are OK, but they're not great - angle of entry and exit aren't quite as good. Too much shit to break down on them.
My brother has a Diesel SR5 and its great for him driving across the country, but the soft bastard goes and stays in motels even though he has his swag in the back.
He'll be here from Darwin this time tomorrow, and once against I'll berate him for being unAustralian.
-
@jegga Probably hasn't changed the oil and has done at least 300,000k as well.
I was forced to buy a fancy new 2004 (as I couldn't find one of those and mine still has the same look) but I have managed to make it look at least 20 years older than it really is and has the classic 3l diesel that actually sounds like it will fall apart any minute - and doesn't.

@NTA the sort of lost me when they bought out the sheepshagger model. Quite like old landcruisers too, I would love to have the osrt of obsessive attention to detail that results in this
We had one in what I think was a HJ45 utility in dark blue for the farm. Not as nice as that one, but did the job

I should show the MFWAF this, there's a three-door hardtop sitting in the shed on the farm...

Not new. The Australian Army ones have been around since the 80s.

Nah.

@jegga 3 litre. Same engine, same beautiful rattles as well it seems. I cut up some new (well oldish) ply for the tailgate yesterday made her look 2 years newer at the very least. Cost about 20 bucks and added at least 40 to the value I reckon. Money well spent.
@NTA Wasn't the hj45 part of the land cruiser family? Great machine but not a hilux. Ideas above your station there I think.
