@voodoo I've got a Samsung smart TV and its remote can control Kodi running on my raspberry pi. Even generic remotes can work so it shouldn't be a problem.
You lost me after the Samsung bit

@victor-meldrew it's probably the type of humour that's either firmly in your wheelhouse or miles from it.
If you liked What We Do In The Shadows then you should like it.
BTW thanks for the opportunity to use "wheelhouse".

@snowy I guessed the twist when he was in the bath and said let's try something... It just occurred to me and then i was indeed right.
I'd love that "skill"... If it were real.I guessed around that point, too. Also the way Rob was eyeing up David.

@snowy stop right there, we can't ruin every thread
I'm beginning to wonder If I should watch this TV series in reverse...
You'll never make it to the beginning!

P.S. Worth a watch.

Is anyone else insanely excited about The Handmaid's Tale returning end of the month? Not been this excited since GOT..... Ah remember GOT? Happy days. 😔
Dying to know if June gets out, its looking like she does from the trailer and I need lots of Nick, like every episode give me a Nick overdose with all the dark eyes and broodiness. Really have no interest in her getting back with Luke. And Nick better not die.

Kodi (https://kodi.tv) is a media player and a raspberry pi is a small computer (https://www.raspberrypi.org)

there needs to be some sort of case study done about how something can be a worldwide cultural phenomenon for years and then bang! it finishes, and no one speaks of it again, except for a quick "yeah that ending was fucked"

I get the feeling there was sufficient water cooler conversation to drag others, then the media jumps on it and everyone knows it sucks but feels compelled to follow it through to the end. Like a shit relationship at uni.

@mariner4life If it ended well, like last 3 seasons were like the first 3 (you know when they were aligned with actual books to crib off), we'd be still talking about it and salivating about the upcoming spinoffs.
-
@machpants the books are hugely overrated after the first couple. I could not care less if he never finishes the story.

I get the feeling that's his attitude too now.

I disagree, I've really enjoyed them. I also enjoy the theory stuff put out by fans. The end of the TV series I loathed

I was going through the motions in the final season. The Hound died but I knew he would, Bronn survived like I hoped he would, and yeah I think it’s safe to say I’ll never watch a single episode ever again.

That's me also, loved the books, enjoyed the show but not as much as the books, and hated the final few episodes and the finish

It would be great to at least see the fat man’s version of events but I’m beyond caring now. It’s now a decade since the last book, which was in itself a bit of a hot mess. Given he’s now apparently signed a massive deal to develop 5 (farking 5) new shows I can’t see how he will get round to finishing the final book. He’s not exactly spry either.

@rancid-schnitzel I do want to see an end, but also I want it to be quality. I'm doubting I'll get both, but fingers crossed. To me it seems similar to Wheel of Time. If he carks it hopefully a new younger author will pick it up as well as Brandon Sanderson did with WoT.
