    @mariner4life when I was younger I made a proper net that I could use a driver into...alas one day a ball still got through and smashed the neighbours guttering

    @taniwharugby My FIL owned a confectioners in North London. He had a screen as the backdrop to the window display and used to spend all day chipping shots into the back of the display. Regulars became used to ghostly movements in the backdrop.

    Must have worked he was still playing off a 2 into his 70's

    not only that, but the bloke's a kiwi and thoroughly decent human being. Has run some cool workshops here.

    @antipodean Ha ha! Only in Italy? Maybe not. It reminds me of the story of the Tree of Tenere. It’s was a tree in the middle of the Sahara Desert about halfway along the Trans Sahara Highway. So obvious a landmark it was actually on the map. Nothing else around for miles, you can see it from a long way off. Still some drunk Frenchman drove into and eventually killed it.
