    https://www.hurricanes.co.nz/the-canes/news/single/item/hurricanes-squad-named-to-face-the-crusaders/

Hurricanes head coach Chris Boyd has named an unchanged starting line-up from the one who defeated the Jaguares 34-9 in the last round.

The only changes are on the bench where two-game All Blacks hooker Asafo Aumua is set to make his Hurricanes debut if called upon.

Aumua successfully came through 40 minutes of rugby for the Hurricanes Under 20 side last week after being sidelined with a rib injury.

There could also be Hurricanes debuts for prop Marcel Renata, who has joined the squad after Alex Fidow was injured against the Jaguares, and halfback Richard Judd who has also joined the squad as injury cover.

Renata has been in good form. I would have had him on the bench for the Blues ahead of Tamoaieta

    @taniwharugby

Yes, he does have potential though. He had a strong season for Harbour.
He is a good scrummager, but has been over eager and given away stupid penalties (early push in particular). He's a bit shit around the field at this stage

Renata looks more ready and has improved a lot over the last year.

Tana rates the TH's in this order: Ofa (correct! well done! ), Tamoaieta, Mafileo then Renata

IIRC, Mafileo has been injured up until now, so Tamoaieta gets in by default.

Dane Coles is expected to be out until June. That was from an article during the pre season

In comparison to that roly poly front rower heres a pic of a sleek, trim, agile first five from recent memory.

I talked to a team doctor a while back. He said players run from baby to hard as nails. But he also said you couldn't tell by looking at them, position or reputation.

Some "hard men" props see a needle and faint. Some first-fives don't want anaesthetic for stitches because they want to get back out immediately.

Jordie is looking quicker this year.

Great try. TJP playing very well too.

But fuck Jordie is looking good, ABs missed him last year, there's a lot of daylight between him and DMac at the moment.

    Canes looking really good.

Crusaders just canโ€™t get the ball for any length of time. Losing Crotty and Whitelock early is not ideal either.

In news that will surprise no one Crotty has left the field injured. White Ngatai really is made of glass.

Sam Whitelock is gone from the game too which is a big blow to the Crusaders.

Hurricanes don't look like the team who's been travelling.

    Jordie Barrett impressing.

Crotty and Whitelock both gone after failing HIAs.

Heโ€™s got all the attacking spark of DMac but much better decision making skills.
