I reckon the ref bottled that.

Someone really should have gone at the previous penalty - possibly didn't give it because it was Akira - though TJ is saying Parsons did something.

Why did the Jags have to use it in that last scrum? The scrum seemed to be up and the second shove decimated the Blues.

I was wondering the same thing. There was no reason whatsoever for that call.

What ever the halftime talk is,I would hope discipline is spoken about, they are sitting on a potential yellow card and Akira who plays on the edge a red....some good stuff mixed up with indiscipline and very poor leadership.

Lucky, lucky, lucky escape there. How that wasn’t a PT is beyond me.

    I’ll take it.

@chris-b ref said it was an offside play by Parsons, Akira asked him.

    The offside saved Akira there.

Williams is saying to the Jags they need to use the ball if it is at the back of the scrum and not going anywhere. WTF! The Jags will be going for a second shove and he should just play on if they have control. They were rightly frustrated.

@chris-b Yes it was Parsons at fault, not Akira, and the ball was at the back for an eternity before the 2nd shove came on that's why they had to use it.

@Steven-Harris Parsons' leadership needs to improve. He seems more intent on moaning to the ref though unfortunately.

No sympathy for the Jaguares though. They played negatively there for multiple penalties and a yellow card. Multiple scrum infringements are generally tehnical, not cynical. A penalty from a scrum should be reward enough. I don't understand why multiple scrum penalties should lead to a yellow.

There is nothing redeeming about Parsons. How bad is the rest of the team that that muppet is captain?

    He has nice hair. Allegedly

Haha power's back, sky is on, awesome lightning and thunder display over the sea - even worse weather is on its way to Eden Park, though it might not get there before full time

Nothing negative about smashing a scrum. They were walking forward at will. Good rugby.

@kirwan while I agree, I dont agree playing for a YC and probably PT in that situation, too uch reward for technical fouls rather than dangerous/illegal fouls

@steven-harris Hahaha hearing TJs commentary during that play was funny.

the disgust he has in his heart for all things Auckland Blues is a palpable thing in instances like that.

Yeah, na, I don't hear it. Even if he is disgusted with the Blues, is he much different to the rest of us?

Duffy has been good in challenging conditions at fullback. If only I could hear if he is talking so we could know if is better than Collins....

Why say use three times then not blow it? Then finally awarding the scrum to Blues after the maul broke up?

Why can the referee say use multiple times? You say it once, if they don't use it - you blow it.

Ref got those two ruck calls badly wrong. Creevy a mile offside and why should Pryor have to roll away when he's on his side of the ruck and trapped in by Jaguares players off their feet?
