    Thought id jump into this, an interesting talk in one of the other threads regarding past ferners (good and bad, mostly batshit crazy)

    As we know life happens and our interests change, having been part of this mad fucking community for over 13 years now there have been some interesting posters throughout that time.

    A few still lurk im sure and a few more are likely in our various Facebook pages.

    Some we cant shake either like @NTA 😉

    Oh and i think we should all stand and applaud @Mokey for putting up with our crap especially in the age of #metoo and femnazis. You add a nice bit of colour and womans touch to an otherwise sausage party of a forum. Not too mention a dash of dirty posts that many secretly read more then once...

    Well I'm sure we all (to some degree) miss @BartMan or whatever incarnation he is now, but there were some prolific posters once that are no longer with us. There was one called Nick The Aussie. Not sure what happened to him. Dodge has been mentioned, I know he got another job and was bemoaning the lack of Fernage this allowed him. Phooey was a major contributor and agent provocateur. All are missed but it was the true weirdos that one remembers. There was a guy called, I think, Da Beat Daddy who was compiling posts at a really rapid rate and only threw his toys out of the pram when @Kirwan arbitrarily changed his avatar to a picture of a tin of spam.

    Happy days.

    Subtle moderation is the best.

    Might as well start with the reason I started hosting in the first place: SuperTusker. On the orginal forum, it had nested threads which he liked to fill up with variations on the c word. Reached out to Bartman and said "I can fix that".

    Was a fan of Mr Mike's ( @Mr-Mike ) sense of humour.

    Miller v Jackson ( @MvJ ) was always worth a read.

    We seem to be missing a fair amount of our old Souf Effriken crew. Rusty Cruiser ( @rustycruiser ), True Blue ( @TB ) to name two of the better ones. @gman did some good write ups. A few we're better off without.

    @Bull-Dusta 's optimism ("trust me") was awesome.

    Oh, and @davidav ...

    I do recall a poster called @steiner posting some cryptic message about being "irrevocably out of here", and never being heard from again. Was somewhat dusturbing.

    I remember the version that was part of a setup with multiple countries’ forums. Used to be great fishing expeditions ‘crossing over’ to the others, goading them then ducking back.

    Supeetusker posted on pr as Bazzamacca I think . He was a cock there too .

    We lost a few Aussies to g and g like noddy and I think cyclopath .

    I revived an old thread this morning and the previous last poster was Gollum . He was on his second login I think , his previous one was banned too . It’s hard to have sympathy for someone who claims that anyone who takes their own life is a selfish attention whore like he did though .

    I kind of miss him actually. He's not banned, just couldn't stand the positive sentiment for Donald after the World Cup in 2011 and just never came back.

    That was kind of his blind spot as a foreign fan of the All Blacks, all was forgiven for Donald after ending the curse, and he couldn't compute.

    @mojo
    @Miller-V-Jackson
    @Mainlander (a decent bloke for a Cantab)
    Also
    @PdP

    Can anyone remember the name of the decent bloke with a John Deere tractor avatar? It’s on the tip of my brain.

    There was a South African who stirred the pot and got banned lots. I thought he was actually quite good fun.

    Since I've been on the fern I've been married, divorced, engaged ( broken off ) , bought and sold three houses, had a few jobs but above all else helped raise the two most awesome boys on earth.

    It's Valentine's day fellas so excuse me while I go and see what's happening on Tinder and Bumble.

    @RLx31 yep, that was me.Dutchkiora is now @dK

    Fullermorg did come back in another guise, purely with his trolling pants on and got promptly banned. I played rugby with him in the UK< great guy, but yeah, huge shark phobia/hatred.

    @Crucial do you still hear from Mainlander?

    @MN5 that would be Paarlbok...hugely passionate, got more chances than most after numerous bans, he eventually gave up despite the ban not being permanent.

    Redbeard is another.

    Had A beer with him in Wellington not that long before heading to the UK so about 3years ago. Poor bugger had a fairly big accident on his motorcycle and had gone off grid for a while. His nephew Allstar hasn’t been sighted for a while come to think of it.

    Oh god, my memory has thrown out BMR789. Appeared a thoroughly decent type for quite some time, gave some great insight with his work on that AB database for the rugby museum.
    Then he had kid number 3, went into a tailspin over peak oil and threw his toys out the cot. It was all quite bizarre
