    exactly my reaction.

A white collar is both traditional, and makes the black look blacker. I like a white collar.

Front of the collar looks shit. Back of the collar needs to be white. Other than that, I like the fern design. I feel doubtful this is real though. But a couple of pages were asked to remove the photo by Adidas so seems suspicious. But now the media is running a story about it so I'm not sure.

Doesn't even look properly finished. It looks like a supporters t-shirt or a training shirt. I would expect adidas know better than to mess with the icon too much

A quick google of adidas products seems to indicate that the picture above is a black version of the 'Parley' ABs range (previously just training jerseys in 'Ink' blue). They are made from plastic waste retrieved from the ocean.

    All_Blacks_Parley_Jersey_Blue_DQ0857_25_outfit.jpg

It's not much different from the current home jersey except for the lack of a fake white collar and the addition of ferns in the weave.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was for real with the ABs promoting adidas' eco-friendly credentials

For real as a jersey or as a training top?

@Cyclops they never make black training tops. It is either the real mccoy or is a supporter RWC jersey made with the eco friendly material stuff while the real one will be more trad, although there really has never been a trad, just a few longish periods without much change and I really doubt anyone would want to play in those old heavy cotton CCC syeinie things anyone.

The blue one is the training jersey, dunno why they didn't specify. The away is a white version of the home one. I quite like it, only gripe for me is the front of the collar.

It looks thin doesn't it? We'll know if it's too thin when they are all getting ripped during games

I have the impression that that fern print is reasonably subtle; you can hardly see it on the photos in the first tweet that I just posted from the All Blacks account. It seems to be more shiny than white or grey. I think it will depend on the lighting, how well you can see it.

Yep all advertising revenue goes to WR, no logo's during RWC. Only shirt manufacturer, team, & RWC. Oh plus 3 golden Wiremus on the arm 😉

On the ABs Shop website, there are more jerseys. White RWC away jersey, blue RWC anthem polo, a black and a blue RWC performance jersey and a black RWC supporters polo. All way above my budget, but if you've got the coin, there is some choice.

I'm with @nzzp not a fan. Needs the white collar to resemble a rugby jersey, these jerseys just look like any old sporting top, especially soccer.

And did I read it was Kiwi and Japanese inspired but I'm struggling to see anything that looks like it's been inspired by Japan or anything Japanese?

Do like the training jersey however so I might pick up one of those.

BTW, anyone think Rieko's giving his johnson a fondle in that pick with ALB?

We went without a white collar for a long time before it came back around 2011?

I have one from 2005 Centenary game against the Welsh in Cardiff. But I don't like it nearly as much as those with a white collar

+1 It does look good. I have a draw full of supporter gear I don't wear and white is more ubiquitous.

I have the 2011 and 2015 RWC jerseys. I much prefer the white collar adorned 2011 model. It's got old school proper embroidery too

I have never bothered to buy any of the new AB jerseys and still wear my 1997 CCC jersey with the Steinlager logo and white collar. Made in NZ too.

I did buy a black Adidas jersey for the 1999 Blackout test at Eden Park but gave it away.

    never bought an AB jersey

my mates bought me the 2007 WC version. That's my one and only. I'm actually not sure where it is to be honest. I assume it's in a drawer at home somewhere.

Before going overseas, I was all old-school and wouldn't wear one. It was a weird NZ thing - I don't think people felt like you could wear one as a supporter without 'earning' it.

I'm much happier with the new model of 'wear to support the team'. It's a change for kiwis, but a good one I think.

I also bought a Black Caps shirt to wear as well 😃

@mariner4life If it's not the 2007 silver jersey it's not worth keeping. 🤣

I have a few limited edition rugby jerseys but I'm not someone who wears them regularly, only at a rugby game. I did wear my AB jersey at the 2002 basketball WCs.
