Wasn't Steven Pokere sent to jail?

    Yep, for fraud.

I never knew that about Pokere ,

prior to him becoming an AB, I can remember him doing the mormon door knocking thing around Pakuranga when i was high school age

@Bones one of those if only moments. I heard that the real reason he left NZ Rugby was because Henry and Hansen wouldn't give a guarantee he could play in the back-row post-2007 🤣

Is it too late for a ‘called it’ or ‘you heard it here first’ post...

Well it's not too late to suggest Ardie, Dagg & DMac relocate to Opunake...

Plenty of stories about Fawcett and his failed property development.

I had him as a PE teacher at school.

Didn’t Grant Batty get himself into similar strife?

    Teaching @Bovidae?

Hi did...... Well, he coached Tauranga Boys' 1st XV in the 80s, assume he was PE teacher as well.

@westcoastie Damn, it's been a while since I've seen him, he looks like an old man in that pic, or a long lost Whitelock!

@Nepia I teach at the high school, a parent came in who manages that 3rds team, saying Hayman just rocked up, most of the boys had no idea who he was. Student Support Teacher had no idea who Hayman was...

@westcoastie Crazy how that happens. I did my placement for uni at a high school, one of the students was the child of Carl Hoeft, I saw the the last name on the roll and asked the student. I banged on about it to the other teachers and pretty much none of them had any idea who he was.

For all the shit Reece has been getting, Hayman is lucky he didn't do time in France.

    Yep

Him and Bryon Kelleher incidents were much much egregious than Reece

But I guess they happened in France so few folks give a shit

its always bigger news in NZ when they are current All Blacks,

Once they have moved on, its still news but not the same drama should they be sacked ? etc etc

@Bones Found it. Not quite the same but yes a Booboo on my part. He should be on his way to bed by now as well, only a few hours until the cricket.
