That was just put together last night, so there may be issues.
It will not load on IE (Edge is fine)
The other pages/tabs will be added later
Also, the table is responsive and some columns are hidden at a lower width. If you are on your phone you will see more data in landscape etc

Time to mobilise troops again Magpies as we put together a team to challenge for the most important title of the season. Last years team consisted of Stargazer, Stockcar86, Yours Truly, PAJ, Propsicle and Clara. Sadly Clara suffered a season ending injury early on and not sure whether they have recovered sufficiently to take a spot in the team this season. Ran into Propsicle a couple of Saturday nights ago. It was rather late it too but we had a good discussion and think we understood each other reasonably well despite speaking what sounded like different languages whilst we sipped away on what I think was Waitoa Social Club Axemen Pale Ale! Would rate his chances of having sobered up in time to make the first found of tipping as 50/50 at best at this stage so we might be looking for maybe two one eyed Magpie supporters to front up for us this season. The more the merrier so give it some thoughts Number10, Magpies-In-Aus, The Observer (come and join a couple of fellow Meeanee Speedway fans in the Bay Team), Kiwimatrix or Nepia (or any other closet Magpies supporters that lurk away in the background of this website).

Tipped. South Island resurgence is on the cards.
-
got my guesses in!
A few results are generally easy to pick, many are not for a few rounds at least.
-
Have Wairarapa-Bush been disqualified as they are no longer an option. Had a few beers with two of their stalwarts after Pressies Grade rugby on Saturday an amongst other important things like who should be the AB right wing the upcoming Mitre10- Cup tipping competition was discussed (always a number of jugs at stake between us!) to make sure they are ready to go but the Bush seems to have disappeared from the list of entrants. Is their an option for Wellington B or Hawkes Bay Development Squad to take their place if the Bush are sent packing as most of the Bush mob are semi-aligned with either/both those areas?

After being a participant in (Ithink) every tipping comp edition I am going to sit this one out in fairness to any team That may get stuck with me.
No reflection on your excellent comp KP. None at all.
Being concentrated on moving back to godzone and re-establishing a home and job, my focus will be elsewhere for a while.
Sorry, but no big loss:) -

Fortunately for which ever team would be lumped with me, I'm absent for ~80% of the comp so I'll give this iteration a miss.

Wairarapa Bush 329 in total, another 11 needed for the absolute minimum required - hopefully we can get more.

Link to see the spreadsheet of tips - this will be the same link all season.

@Stargazer Right thread this time thanks to helpfull advise from a fellow competitor. Don't forget to get your tips in. Think we will relax the HB 17+ call again this season (although it is very tempting this round to stick one up the 'Poo!) Still hoping the likes of The Observer, Number 10 or any of the others will front to make sure we have the full compliment. Ran into Propsicle at the new Samoan Cafe (first Samoan feed I have had in ages - absolutely superb - just a shame it was not warm Samoan weather!!!) in Wellington today and he is an almost definite starter! Still need at least one (or possibly two) to make sure we do not play one short each week. Come on you fellow Magpies time to don the black and white hooped jersey to take on all comers for what was once our title almost as of right!!

We're getting there
Counties-Waikato 3
South Island 5
Hawke's Bay 3
Harbour-Auckland 4
Individual 1
Wellington 5
Northland 4
Southland 2
Bay of Plenty 4
Wairarapa Bush 435 in all - just 5 more to get all teams to 5 - Southland will be folded into another team as I'm not sure what it was doing there in the first place.
-
I'll be in for another try please KP . I assume there is no Taranaki so Wellington if there is still a spot
-
@JK @mikey07 Both welcome to enter, you may have both picked Southland in which case you'd be on zero points anyway. Just throw your tips into
Here are the entries so far
Counties-Waikato 3
South Island 6
Hawke's Bay 6
Harbour-Auckland 6
Individual 1
Wellington 6
Northland 4
Southland 2
Bay of Plenty 5
Wairarapa Bush 6Southland are Richie and Joan and Mary and they are provincial floaters who will be packaged up and handed to Counties-Waikato. Dolamite is an individual who will be assigned to Northland. That means every team has at least 5 and anyone else entering will join Northland or the mighty Bay to bring them up to 6.
-
First update of the season and the team scores are surprisingly different considering Southland haven't won a game for so long - yet a fair few picked them. Everyone scored zero points for the draw as that is the rule - so 15 share the lead on 10 points having picked Northland 9-16.
Counties-Waikato 3 - 9 Hawke's Bay
BOP 5 - 8 Northland
South Island 3 - 9 Wairarapa Bush
Wellington 8 - 8 Harbour-Auckland -
The BOP wildcard Mr Sportboy is useful sometimes - one of only 4 to pick a Waikato win and he also picked Tasman 17+ to score a Saturday maximum and share the lead with Tim for the comp.
Counties-Waikato 15 - 24 Hawke's Bay
BOP 21 - 22 Northland
South Island 21 - 25 Wairarapa Bush
Wellington 24 - 20 Harbour-AucklandSportboy 30
Tim 30
Stargazer 27
Number 10 27
TR 27
Langakali 27
Victor 27
Hurrycanes 27 -
All scores are updated at https://www.thesilverfern.com/tipping/ - just need @Duluth to make a couple more of the tabs live, he's done a great job with the look and feel of the comp. Next week, the top 32 scores will go into the first round of the TSF Cup.
Pretty tough week for scoring overall with nobody at all picking BOP and Otago as high/low scorers and the margins tricky to pick (and sometimes the results). Only 2 scores of 40+.
Counties-Waikato 22 - 35 Hawke's Bay
BOP 29 - 29 Northland
South Island 28 - 33 Wairarapa Bush
Wellington 32 - 28 Harbour-Auckland -

Cheers. The rest of the tabs will go live over the next 2-3 days
