@MiketheSnow My kids have all had Covid. Two of them twice. No stats indicate it's needed. Good business for the jabbers and those who want to continue in Covid centered life and create fear amongst those susceptible.

I got asked a couple of days ago if I’m going to get my four year old jabbed. I was like, for what?
Its strange how Covid is hanging on here (and in other places) in some people’s minds.
I got three shots simply because I needed them to travel.
Same here
And may need 4th to get back to Japan
So you need 3/4 shots for Japan?
I stopped at 2, really don't want to get any more. But would like to get to Japan in the next couple of years
It's just beyond stupid now. Everyone who thinks they need all the shots has now had ample time to get as many as they like. Leave the rest of us alone.
3 shots = come right in
2 shots or less = Covid test 72hrs outNot sure whether the 3rd shot has to be within 6 months of arrival
If so, then it’s the 4th for me
Shouldn’t need the 4th (but don’t quote me on that). You just need a vax certificate

Two questions
-
Who the fuck is still getting tested?
-
Who fucking cares?
My MIL called my wife (her daughter) tonight to tell her that her sister-in-law has covid (so my wife's brothers sister)
Yeah that was confusing, sorry.
Anyway, my wife got suitably angry at the interruption, and I was very proud. Lots of "who cares " amd "it's just a cold now" comments thrown out. Good stuff.
But for some reason , some folk are really clinging to this. Still terrified of it. Still want to keep it mainstream. Still wearing masks, sanitising supermarket trolleys, not wiling to pass someone on an escalator.
Will be amazing to look at the last 3yrs at some point in the future and try to understand the psyche behind our behaviour.
I don't get triggered by those who still want to take precautions, and they don't seem to be triggered by me. The olds still wear masks in places, and I even laughed at the old man wiping down my trolley when they were up last. But so what. At the end of the day each to their own. The only time I have worn a mask to the shops in the last while was when I had a cold and was sneezing and coughing. So it wasn't for me, it was for everyone else's benefit.
As for the media trying to keep Covid in the public eye?
Most people couldn't give a fuck anymore
I wouldn't say seeing masks "triggers" me - but it's pretty striking that the use of them is significantly increased in this part of the world post-covid, despite the effects of covid (post-vax and in it's current iteration) is for almost everyone way less severe than a decent cold.
If you don't think the media still wants mileage out of covid then you're consuming different stuff to me, or NZ is doing better than Oz - this is our national broadcaster, 5.30pm yesterday:

Have a look through stuff and the comments to these articles. Generally pushed to the fringes and the feedback is generally negative. For example there is no article today

Today, Japan resumes visa-free entry enabling free independent travel for the first time in over two and a half years with the country lifting its border restrictions for visitors who have been triple vaccinated or taken a pre-departure Covid test. The daily entry cap has also been removed.

Amazing. My family is banned unless we take a test prior.

don't say that like it's only from Japan...

@voodoo Does it have to be negative though?
My brother travelled around Europe recently and a few places he had to sign a declaration that he had taken a pre-arrival test. He didn't have to produce the test result though - they took him at his word. Which if you knew my brother....
When he got back to Singapore he had to take a day 2 test and furnish the results - because they chase you for it.
It came back positive. Funnily enough everyone in his Geneva office said there was a lot of cold going round.

It's an IQ test at this stage. People going around masked up and getting 3rd/4th jabs. Dribblers.
Fucking morons have cunted the whole world up and are still trying to buttress their fraudulent positions by persisting with this nonsense.
I have weeded out of some of my best friends over their myopic opinions on this non entity of an illness. Good luck to them. They are imbeciles.
We have a 3 year body of work now to look back on.
We were sold a pup. The whole thing is a farce.

What's this about the Pfizer CEO saying they had no data to suggest that the vaccine would prevent transmission? Wasn't that the entire basis for the vaccine passports and firing staff that didn't get vaccinated? If that is true shouldn't a bunch of politicians, including our own dear leader, be facing some consequences?
My mothers brother hung himself aged 40 in 2020.
Buried in Ireland with only 6 people allowed at the funeral due to restrictions on numbers.
Nowhere open afterwards to have a sandwich and a chat about his life or salute him with a whiskey.
He spent the last months of his life alone and depressed with no one to help him due to lockdown rules.
I am a faceless person on the internet and you have to take my story on trust. But it's true.
And I have to now try and help my mother rebuild her life.
These kunts should be held to account. And people shrugging their shoulders over the u-turn on transmission are as bad as the scum who enforced this stuff on us in the first place.
Biden, Ardern, Trudeau, Macron et al. They should resign in disgrace.
