Have registered with NSW Health. No idea what vaccine I'll get because I'm not in this phase.
Are you 40-49? Should be Pfizer. Funny that they had the media release about 40-49s a couple of weeks ago now yet I don't know of anyone who registered at that time that have been offered the vaccine yet.

@nepia @voodoo I also did the "are you eligible?" survey and found out I'm not. Not yet anyway.
And yeah - 44
Two of my work colleagues were "eligible" due to other conditions but haven't got the call yet.
But the initial media release suggested that they were just going to get on with giving the Pfizer vaccine to all, but looks like Gladys just followed the Scotty from Marketing playbook of making a song and dance announcement and then just sticking with the normal slow roll out anyway.

Travel bubble between Melbourne and NZ suspended for 72 hours.

@antipodean yeah, wife just took off from wellington to come back to melbourne, she made the call first thing this morning and looks to be paying off

Do you get a call? I didn't. Just booked the jab.
Which I think is a reason why the roll out is poor.
People waiting to be called, when I don't think they do. -

People waiting to be called, when I don't think they do.When I registered they said they'd notify me when I can book. So I don't know.
My sister in NZ got hers because she was walking the dog at the racecourse at 5:30pm and they had doses left, might all just be down to luck.

Just further to the above, I did the eligibility quiz, and was, then it gave me a link to the local clinics. But the former didn't seem to link to the latter.

Technically no, but as I said in an earlier post, they made a song and dance here in NSW that they were opening up Pfizer for 40-49 years old, which I'm eligible to register for, yet even the two people I know who were eligible for previous medical reasons weren't given the link to the clinics (although this was in the first couple of days so they may have updated the process since then).

It'd be an absolute pain in the arse to find a flight back from Wellington to Melbourne anyway during the paused period.

Surely only 1 way, Melbourne isn't stopping kiwi's or returning aussies? But @Smudge is right, it's flight availability that becomes tough. We still went to NZ during the Sydney pause because there were 4x flights per day available to come back on NZ, we figured a couple at least would run. MLB a tougher ask.

Looks like we might find out today and tomorrow if the Australasian summer theme of 'a community case, 150 close and casual contacts, no further spread' luck holds. Especially with the MCG now involved.
Tell you what, this level of apathy from the public and the Govt is not helping matters
