Think I need to wife you all for a moment and remind you to watch your drinking!
Two weeks drinking is a holiday, three is getting unhealthy...Oh just what they need, another woman telling them what to do and not putting out
"Please Sir, can I have some more abstinence?"

Two weeks drinking is a holiday, three is getting unhealthy...I've had a total of about 6 beers since starting work from home a few weeks back. Considering I might have one a week during rugby season, this is a cakewalk.
Though I've probably also had a couple of scotches, some wine, and a thimbleful of brandy I found in the pantry.
And a cheeky little Bortrytis post-dinner.
Fuck and the biggest dejavu right now.

Well, happy Easter everyone. Hope you're all spoiling your kids and yourself with chocolate or whatever your tipple is.
11 days to go of this, hard to imagine waking up another 11 times to realise there is nothing to do today.
All in all, it's still going ok here. The old lady in PN is hanging in there, def feeling the mental effect of iso given she is on her own, but health-wise is relatively good.
What would be nice would be some indication of what the scenarios look like for coming out of this lockdown. When you look at the official alert info, it's just so vague, deliberately I know. But if we get through 11 more days, only to be told that we can go to L3, and that all that actually means is a few more shops being able to deliver stuff, that's going to be pretty hard to take for a lot of people.
Equally, if they Government extends this, I think we could really start to see some pushback, especially if the numbers stay as they are. To get within 2 days, then to be told you have another week added, would be devastating.

Had afternoon drinks on Zoom with a bunch of my Kiwi mates yesterday, which denigrated into our usual drinking sessions of rehashing every stupid thing or funny story about our group. Was fun. One of them actually started a new job on Monday, which is a bit surreal. Made holiday plans for when we can all travel again, whenever that is.
Tried to get some decent Easter Eggs from K Mart yesterday but they were sold out of all the good shit, they were also sold out of muffin tins and potato mashers so I'll have to put off my @Hooroo inspired cooking for another week. Always forget that Oz doesn't shut down for Easter Friday/Sunday (except for Woolies) so the usual takeaway places were all opening up on my morning walk today.

I got smashed last night and my wife tried telling me that. I won't give you the same response as it wasn't very well received.
She was used to me being away for 5 days at a time...

Never needed a basement, didn't "work" from home, that's why this whole lockdown thing is a new challenge. Fortunately (as I have mentioned) the cops are busy following people to supermarkets.

By the way serial killers don't like to be categorised, they like to be unique and become famous, so don't pigeon hole me...west of Auckland aren't you?
Oh, and "you're" - to save @booboo the time.

Now that I've got the Coronas, I'm going to see if a strong dose of Merlot is the cure.

Fair dinkum? I can't tell if you have purchased some Corona beers or if you have been infected? Hoping not the latter.

Not trying to be negative, but I think we should mentally prepare for a very cautious bureaucratic response if my experience of getting evacuated in the Nelson fires last year is anything to go by.

I could almost live with that if I knew what that actually meant. It's the thought that in 9 days I could find out that nothing meaningful will change despite great stats between now and then that disturbs me.

Really tough day yesterday.
Found out an old mate is on a ventilator. 53, asthmatic. He was 20% chance but now they feel he’s through the worst. So fingers crossed, but shit gets real when you know people doing it tough.
We had a call with all my original HK mates - all over the globe now. Great to speak but one guy opened up about his issues with depression. I’ll not elaborate but he’s now getting the help he needs as is seriously struggling with lockdown.
Scary uptick for the Rage fam. Keep safe all, keep your distance.

@Chris-B yeah, away from home. Mum is in the North Island and we are in QT. Wife's fam is Sydney. And our belongings are split between storage in Sydney, QT, and the villa in Bali that we have prepaid rent on until end-June 🤦🏽♂️
Your kids go to school in Bali?

That sort of "fragmentation" is very tough - only good thing is that living the ex-pat life sort of prepares you for it.
Hope we see a few days of single digit cases soon - even some zeroes - so that we can escape sooner rather than later.
