    @Chris-B that's a fucked up backline!

    I had to click on the link to even remember who TF D.W.Hill was!
    "... was a solid five eight and quality goalkicker..."

    Solid, says it all really

    His cousin spun some good shit though

    @antipodean

    Nonu is on another stratosphere to Laumape

    Laumape is a very good player
    Nonu is an all time great player

    Nonu is on the Mount Rushmore of ABs in the Professional Era along the likes of Carter and McCaw

    Laumape has done enough to deserve a chance at 12. Who says he can't further develop his passing and kicking skills in an AB enviroment. Thats the great thing about rugby everyone's different.

    His kicking is fine, even his passing us fine - it's pulling all his skills together at once and still keeping his vision plus developing a bit more awareness that is the goal here.

    As I pointed out elsewhere, Nonu was a lot younger than 27 when he started his "journey".

    So he can do it I reckon, just needs to do it quick.

    Edit: I reckon Nonu prolly received a heck of a lot more dusruspict too.

    Yeah it’s not so much that he doesn’t have those skills, my concern is the decision making and nous. He’s shown nice kicks, his cut out pass is nice.

    Laumape is a very SR good player
    Nonu is an all time great Test player

    That's the difference and it's because Nonu finished his career without a weakness to his game. His kicking was brilliant, there wasn't a better passer on the run and he was a threat carrying the ball.

    Laumape has the physical attributes, he just needs to show the skill and decision making.

    Nonu is on the Mount Rushmore of ABs in the Professional Era along the likes of Carter and McCaw

    Agreed.

    The funny thing with Nonu now being looked at as a great ,

    He got the gig at 12 in the first place because the cupboard was bare ,

    Mauger and McAlister had gone , it was him or nothing pretty much at the time ,

    if they had stayed , maybe it would never have happened

    Is everyone forgetting about Tu'inukuafe? I know he has been injured but he is odds on to start at LH for the NI team, and if he returns to fitness and form would be a good option from the bench.

    I’m unsure about reiko in the midfield at international level ,

    But I would still really like to see what it looks like

    @Bovidae hasn't played much this year, and hasn't shown much form I don't think. LIke BB - a high ceiling, but not at that level at the moment

    If Laumape is out for a while there is a good chance Rieko will now be at centre in the NI vs SI game. His combination with ALB in that game will be interesting to watch, thinking ahead to the ABs.

    Not a whole lot different from World Cup, notable that Ardie must be in the side was tempted to have him at 7 and Cane at 6 but they can do that when Sotutu comes on. Mounga is the best 10 in NZ and then daylight. BB probably has to play himself out of the 15 jersey.

    Haven’t read the last few pages but has anyone commented on how slow Jordie is to turn? Was like sick Jonah with a brick tied to his ankles.
