Or the Ozzies play them all over here, only they quarantine (their country fucked up, not ours) and we can have full crowds.

An option to look at, but Rugby Australia and the Auatralian government may want a game over there. Negotiations involve compromise.

The All Blacks are arguably NZ's best brand. That brand will be massively hit by 18 months of inaction.

Or we see what happens when you make something scarce that people want to see, the value and interest goes up.

See SRA for example, first week a large part of the interest was seeing rugby again and getting out of the house, people stayed because the rugby was good.

Part of what has been causing people to drift away from Rugby was the same games, against the same teams, over and over again.

If the next AB teams oversears was after a two year gap, it would be a sellout, no matter where it was. 100 years building the brand, and sustained success, doesn't disappear in 18months.

'He is one of the hardest hitters out there' - The players explain what fans don't get about Sam Cane's game

@Tim The fans get that, a bunch of us were trying to remind Hansen of that in November last year to no avail.

I was yelling it from the stands after about 5 minutes.

@Kirwan It must be a long time since there were empty seats for an AB test in UK or France or a major game in NZ.

To me, it is a question of ambition. We used to hear the ABs wanted to be the biggest brand in global sport. Manchester United are about to spend £100 million on a single player. The IPL is moving en masse to UAE.

Arranging a couple of All Blacks Test is easy by conparison.

The All Blacks are never going to be the world's biggest sporting brand

What has Man U making another bad transfer got to do with anything?

What has a sporting comp run by people who only care about their own money, moving their tournament to a country that doesn't care about people, got to do with anything?

The AB brand will neither grow with a couple of tests against Australia, nor shrink without a couple of tests against Australia.

If the Bledisloe goes ahead it will basically be a full year since either team has played.

    Both teams with new coaches.

Both teams with presumably a decent camp to prepare.

    Sounds fun.

of course it does. and we'll watch the shit out of it, if it happens

a few pretty serious hurdles to overcome.

If the Wallabies are allowed in to NZ, does that mean those two Warriors players are too?

Good advertising opportunity too. If you were born the last time Australia held the Bledisloe, you're eligible to drink and vote this year!

They're already signed off, I think.

So Ozzie stadiums will be allowed to be full for the tests? Are they now?

    K. The way Oz is going CV19 wise, the chances of anyone in Au Stadiums in a few months is low

With Ian Foster set to name his first All Blacks squad in three weeks, who fills New Zealand's significant void at lock remains up for debate.

every rugby fan has a bias towards a team they support

    I actually don't do that.

I support Uni, Akl, Blues, ABs. If I think a Ponies player is better than a Uni guy, I want him at AKl, etc, etc.

I don't really care where a player is from to play for the ABs. I just want the best players in the ABs completely objectively. Opinion on who the best players are is a bit different of course.

Victoria is rooted, but Queensland and NSW are still OK. Queensland can have up to 20k I think in a ground, and NSW up to 10k? Could be better by November, could be worse.

    @Snowy

I'm sure plenty of people aim for that ideal and tell themselves that.

When it comes to a close call people have emotions and they have an influence. The person with the bias will often claim they have none.

@Duluth Maybe for some, and they are obvious on here, but I really don't give a shit where the AB players are from. As long as they are at least, one of the very few best at their position. The lines are a bit blurred provincially, and with franchises anyway so I just want the best guys representing the "higher honour" teams.
