IMO she's only a hypocrite if she's actually intentionally dodged tax, and we don't know if she's paid the right amount, let alone if she's dodged some on purpose. Without sounding like a conspiracy theorist, i tend to think the only reason this is getting this level of continuous coverage in the Mail is because she's a working class female Labour MP.
I don't think the working class female has anything to do with it. She's a high profile Labour MP, so she's going to be under scrutiny from the press.
I also don't agree with you that she's a hateful person, I think she comes across pretty sane on any long form interview, Rest is Politics, Political Party etc, she's had a hell of a life and her journey is testament to a huge personality and force of will. The one off the cuff comment about Tory's being scum was a mistake IMO, but its hardly crime of the century.
Pretty much so agree, but do hold the scum comment to a slightly higher level of culpability than you.

Hardly one-off. She's been at it for years and defines her politics by her hatred of people with differing political views to herself. Always happy to play the working-class victim card and cry foul when people call her names though.

Well all that was interesting

So a Tory MP has had the whip removed for misuse of campaign funds and it seems the big story is whether or not there was misuse of funds, but for me the big story should be about the reason for needing the money in the first place.
I mean, what the fuck was he doing?
-
He's a complete clown. Should have said the money was to change gender and it's all a smear campaign as he's now a working class girl...

So Met Police threaten to arrest Jewish bloke because his existence at a rally is likely to incite those rallying, in part because he is, and looks, Jewish.
They fumble the apology and apologise for the apology.
Anyone got a link to the first one?
(Who posted that scene with the Chief Inspector repeatedly apologising? Life imitating art ... )

Imagine if an openly-black person was told walking near a Tommy Robinson march was provocative.
The emails between Falter and the Met Police after he complained were even more farcical

Holy Moly

It's great people can be open about this now.

What the actual fuck?
-
@MiketheSnow well yeah but he's clearly playing with fire by having concerns.

Check out the footer of their email. The police should concentrate on fighting Institutional stupidity more than institutional transphobia and sexism.

Shame they can't be about being Jewish

Guido nails it again.
(Could go in Memes, but I'll stick it here)

This is actually genuine.
-
Unfuckingbelievable.
If the Government are serious about the 'Net Zero' bollocks and getting us on public transport how can they allow this to happen?
-
Build it and they will come. Eventually?

I think the key question is how a Council can bleat about cuts to government funding but still find £51m for a car park no-one can enter.
