Love this shot of the try saver.

That’d be a red card in rugby for tackling in the air.

Did you see the bunker ruling RTS tackled that guy in the air late in the game. Farken blatant BS I tell you. So glad we won so I don't need to hear Annesley bleating on about them getting the calls wrong. Again.

No didn’t see that... was watching in a pub on the way home from club footy.
We were all adamant that they’d find something wrong with Pompeys try and not award it though.

The Raiders winger went up to catch the bomb, two Warriors players did a great job IMHO to stand and wait for him to come down, then they scragged him into touch. As clear a no call as you will see

@canefan that's it. All over for Brownie. He just got touched by pure Warriors magic, just one hit and he'll be chasing that high again till we win the comp, or he succumbs to the time honoured slaughter of a coach gone stale and undercut by half-ass recruitment 🙂

@gunner Didn't watch the game but from the shot you posted it looks like no arms were involved in the tackle, in fact it might even meet the requirements to be called a shoulder charge. Possibly watching the incident in full may debunk my thoughts.

the whole face of the league changed this weekend. The Roosters are cooked, losing Keary for the year, Lam for at least a month, while Cordner and Friend are no guarantees to come back at all. Suddenly the Bunnies to flag favourites?

Man the Cowboys are fuuuuucked. Not sure Payton is still happy with his choice. Flogged again, it appears Michael Morgan will retire immediately. Taumalolo still out. The whole squad looks ordinary. Gold Coast just hammered them in Townsville yesterday.

Oh, and only Mitchell Pearce could celebrate his 300th game by losing to the Tigers.

I wouldn't rule out the Roosters just yet, although they rejigged their whole play around him. Given it is so early in the season I still think you need to just be close on the table, as long as you get a run going into the last few weeks. Roosters didn't look like themselves even before the injury either in that game, distracted by some Jai Arrow sideshow perhaps. Still Sam Walker would not be the first 18 year old to play beyond his years and given the amount of injuries sustained by all teams on the weekend, I still have the roosters in with a shot.

I personally would not rule out any of Souths , Roosters, Penrith, Parra, Storm ..and occasionally some other teams on their day.

Cows did look average, medically retiring Morgan either isn't a bad move if he goes for it, as it frees up some salary cap and a player. Still I would rather be a cows supporter than down the road at the Broncos right now.

As for the warriors, finally got some luck with the try off the forward pass, don't know how many of them I have seen us lose with that going the other way. Absolutely astounded though by our big wingers who look unfit and constantly caught out of position with very little effort to get involved either. They need an RTS fitness session. BMM starting to get fitter and looking dangerous, just need to fix that porous defense, should not have been chasing 21 points at half time. Still they will get confidence out of that.

Ricky Stuart is such an unlikeable dick.

A Raiders loss is always followed up by a whinge/rant about something. Never the team's fault.

I, for one, look forward to his ritual sacrifice. Is it too soon to get the bandwagon out of storage?

@mariner4life one of my favourite players but most loathed coaches. Straight out douche canoe.

But we won't be looking into what causes, or our part in, the increased cases of HIA, (fuck that, we've cornered the market for 1950s style sports contact and we ain't giving that up! By the way, Origin in 71 days. Unreported concussions galore!)

The Bulldogs trainers/medics/or whoever are even more hopeless than the team. Lachlan Lewis was in clear need of an HIA sub and proper check up there, but somehow they looked at him and left him on the field for another set.

@donsteppa Yeah that was a disgrace. What were the Bulldogs medics thinking?!

Wow the gap between the haves and the have nots has never been bigger. 3 brutal reamings this weekend. With the quick play and more ball in play there is no way for the shit teams to hide.

There are 3 defined levels at the moment, and only injuries can change the balance.

I watched the 1st half of the Storm-Broncos game. What a crazy 11 mins for the Papenhuyzen show.

@mariner4life Yep pretty much. You can see it in the line speed with the below par sides. They can't give away penalties to slow momentum so fatigue sets in quicker where they can't move up, with manly and North queensland being the worst culprits.

Cody Walker has quit the highlight reel of dirty shit from yesterday. What a fuckhead.

I've seen 3 different acts that deserve a ban each

Just watched Raiders v Titans. The skill level is so much better than Aotearoa rugby currently. Try saving tackles are spectacular and regular in Nrl. And Rapana try was a real gem with amazing skills

Cowboys got hammered by a team I don't even expect to make the 8. Terrible showing so far from them, they are a mile behind.

Titans need to win games against teams like the Raiders to prove they belong.

We’re playing pretty well. Two best fullbacks in the game having a big influence on the game.

A couple of costly lapses by us (Tavaga again...) that the Chooks have capitalised on.

It's a good game. Solid hits and end to end attack.
