If you didn't see it at the time the interview with John Key over the GCSB was some really bad work on his part. Key owned him , he never lost his cool and calmly explained that Campbell was wrong and spreading misinformation. Campbell on the other hand lost his it a couple of times . The best part for me was his triumphant tweet afterwards being replied to by Brian Edwards who pointed out he was bullying and shrill and then signed off saying he is Campbell's biggest fan . It should be online somewhere, that's where I saw it. I couldn't be bothered watching his show , a fourth time repeat of the Simpsons was more entertaining .

Did anyone else she the shrill headline " punched for speaking te reo" and think thd story might be bullshit ?First clue was the photo, she looks obnoxious . Ok that's just my opinion but why would a person of pacific island descent be pissed at her speaking te reo? Also her face looks suspiciously less damaged for someone who says her " her lip is out here" and she lost five teeth. 
A single mother says she lost five teeth after she was punched repeatedly in the head by a man who angrily asked why she was speaking Te Reo. 
Shona Maiden was heading home after celebrating New Year's Eve with friends at her local bar - 123 Casino Karaoke Bar, in Howick - when she was assaulted, she says. 
A police spokeswoman confirmed they are investigating the assault of a woman, aged 46, outside the establishment in the early hours of New Year's Day. 
At the bar's closing time, Ms Maiden, who is of European and Maori descent, said she said "ka kite ano" (see you later) to people who had been standing outside. The mother-of-four, who lives in Howick, said a man then swore and yelled at her, questioning why a "palagi" would use such words. 
Ms Maiden admits she responded, telling the man to "f*** off." He then punched her several times. 
The word "palagi", or "palangi", is a Samoan and Tongan word for a person of European descent. 
"The knock to my head sobered me up pretty quickly." 
A friend accompanied her to Middlemore Hospital for treatment. She left a few hours later after being given some painkillers. 
"I've lost five teeth, my top plate is cracked ... my lip is out there, I can't eat yet," she said. "I just burst into tears when I saw in the mirror that I had no teeth." 
Her father, John Maiden, is upset at what happened to his daughter and says he wants something done about safety in the area around the bar. "I'm just bloody angry." 
The owner of the bar did not respond to requests for comment yesterday. 
A spokeswoman for the Human Rights Commission said: "It's good that NZ Police are investigating the incident. Violence is never okay - and neither is racial abuse."

She's changed her Facebook settings to private but apparently she was having conversations with her feral friends about how much community service she would have to do to avoid paying her fines and joking about driving home from court after losing her licence. 
The best part is she went to the herald because she was pissed that the police hadnt arrested the guy and she thought going public might shame them into doing something . That worked out well for her didn't it?

The worst part of that article was this:

"Laying down"? That means he was putting something down. Try "lying down" instead. And since they were outside he was lying down on the ground, not the floor. How can a person who writes for a living get this wrong and then get it past a sub-editor?

Jegga, that reminds me of a game we used to play when I was in the corporate world. It was entitled "Wank Word Bingo". Basically your bingo card was filled with sayings like "Push the envelope", Blue Sky Thinking" etc and during a seminar or management meeting you would tick them off on your card as some twat spouted them. It is supposed to culminate in one standing up shouting "WANK WORD. I WIN!" on getting a full line.
 
Now I'm not saying whether I ever won or not but I am no longer in the corporate world.

I remember seeing that in those Alex cartoons when he got an American boss, creative synergies was one I think. I hope you did jump up and shout bingo as an ending to your corporate career. 
I've been thinking about an end of year tour uk article bingo , haka article, poaching article , mentions of aura , myth etc etc .

A walk through one of the busiest train stations in the UK changed Mark Pearson's life forever.
It took him just half a second to pass an award-winning actress at a busy train station but that was enough for prosecutors to charge with him sexual assault.
When the case finally got to court a jury needed only 90 minutes to reject the allegations, but by then the damage had been done to Pearson, a 51-year-old artist and picture framer.

It was claimed he assaulted the TV, theatre and radio actress penetratively for "two or three seconds" as he walked past her at London's Waterloo station, before landing a heavy blow to her left shoulder as he pushed past her, The Telegraph reported.
CCTV footage could not establish if Pearson and the woman made physical contact as they walked quickly past each other. A forensic expert for the defence told Blackfriars Crown Court Pearson had passed the actress in half a second, saying any assault was a logistical impossibility.
Specialist CCTV forensic expert Jacob Blythe showed Pearson was carrying a newspaper in his left hand - the one he was alleged to have used in the assaultâ€‹ - and holding his bag in his right.
The Telegraph said the case raised more questions about the decision-making in sexual assault cases by Britain's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), in particular pressing ahead with improperly investigated prosecutions with gaping holes in the evidence.
In Pearson's case, the woman failed to pick him out of an identity parade, there was no forensic evidence, and there were no witnesses despite the train station being crowded with commuters.
The CPS also produced the CCTV footage during the three-day court hearing last week at half its normal speed - a critical change, given the case rested on whether Pearson had enough time to commit the assault. 
"They said they did it for technical reasons; what they were we weren't told," Pearson said.

The CPS had the CCTV evidence right from the start, and from it could have realised the complainant's statement was "total crap" and dismissed the case, he said.
He believed the CPS was overly keen to get convictions at all costs, after high-profile mistakes in cases such as those involving broadcasting personalities Jimmy Savile and Rolf Harris.
The incident allegedly happened on December 3, 2014, although the first Pearson knew about it was when six police officers turned up on his doorstep on February 5, 2015. From the start he called the claim "preposterous".
He had no memory of the day he walked past the actress - it was the same "boring journey" from home to work he made regularly.
