I agree, so he should just commentate on teams he likes. He’s so bad, I’d rather have Willie Lose.

All of the people sitting around me in the stands, along with all the others who went super quiet when the Highlanders went ahead would attest to that

But the Blues didn’t choke they coped with the pressure and finished strong. Weird to criticise a team for something that didn’t happen.
Also I find it strange the lack of credit given to the Highlanders. They had a good period in the second spell and worked their way into a strong position. However that narrative isn’t useful to people who were so desperate for the Blues to lose, despite their teams not taking part in the final. Therefore they give no credit to the Highlanders, only blame to the Blues.

Not this Blues fan. The Clan did well to keep in touch, but you see the superior fitness kicking in that last 20. We finished right over the top of them.
A professional commentator should be calling what he sees, TJ doesn't do that when it's the Blues. And like I said, it was particularly sweet after the final whistle for him to stop doing his job altogether. Marshall had to step in and wrap up the game. Hilarious.

@daffy-jaffy I watched it again a couple of weeks ago. Reinforced how dominant the Blues were, without executing. Felt a bit like 2011 to me; carrying some mental baggage. Fair play to the Highlanders though, tenacious and gritty as all hell, and made a real game of it. Forced the Blues to step up at the end, and they did.
I'm still stoked for Plummer, with those two absoultely clutch kicks. Miss those, and it's the narrative of 'can't win'. Instead, we're champs.
