2022 Predictions

@tim Thought his thread was about the world and Covid.
One prediction, the Fern will give credit to Joe Schmidt for any positive changes in the ABs and all criticism to Foster for anything that goes wrong.
-
@frank Prediction or common sense?

And Joe Schmidt is a selector so will make very very little difference to the team. I very seriously doubt whether there many players that should be in team aren't already in it.
-
@dan54 He is also going to be an analyst.
-
But will say , not sure how I will predict it, but I can guarate I real interestd to see Super rugby , and will be thinking that Crusaders, Blues and Chiefs will have some bloody good battles! I really think the Chiefs are going to be right up there!!
-
Clarke to force his way back in to the ABs
-
Jordie Barrett to 12
-
Zarn Sullivan to crack the ABs.
-
@tim apart from maybe the Blues call, there wasn't anything bold about those!
Pat Lam to complain about something.
Will Jordan to drop the ball cold on a try scoring opportunity.
Johnny Sexton to pull a mean face.
These bold predictions are tough.
-
Devan Flanders to crack the ABs.
-
The All Blacks to field some horrific mullets again
-
Super rugby to be a defragmented mess due to Cindy.
Drua to do really well & be globally acclaimed by the NH media, with a torrent of abuse directed NZs way.
Moana Pasifika to do poorly
All Blacks to continue to be mediocre
Ireland to win 6N, England second. -
@majorrage You think France will be inconsistent, or give away red cards?

They'll be similar to 2021. When they face a decent forward pack, they won't be as good / confident and stronger teams will beat them.
-
6 nations is a shitfight because of the draw
No serious winners from it, and it could fall any way, but on face value Ireland have it best?
Crusaders for Super Rugby
ABs if the RC goes ahead, but purely on the fact we'll beat Aus twice.
Deeper in who knows.
-
Do we beat Ireland 3 nil at home?

Ireland to win 6N, England second. Both have to travel to Paris. France look the goods this year.
-
Wales to win 6N

France likely to lose away to Scotland and Wales.
-
Scots for a Grand Slam in the six nations Italy to finish last

I can almost guarantee you being 50% correct.

Anything above 50 is a waste

You have to feel it only a matter of time! I really like this kid, and the other thing with Blues with him at 15,BB will play full season at 10 which has to be good for ABs.

Ireland to win 6N, England second.I have a feeling Drua and MP may actually do opposite. Drua I not sure have enough players who have played Super, and maybe MP have bought a reasonably wisely. Although to be fair with MP having to wait until April to play Aus teams may hurt there chances a fair bit.

Chay Fihaki to be the bolter of the EOYT squad.

As much as I think this kid has future AB written all over him, I wonder if he is at the right team to get enough opportunities. I think, in the best interests of NZ rugby, he should move to the Chiefs.
-
Be interesting to see if Kneepkins can claim the 14 jersey at the Blues.

Speaking of players who should be at the Chiefs.
-
@gt12
RTS is another player who should have signed with the Chiefs as he could have claimed the fullback spot. I think the 12 jersey does not suit him. -

Or to the Canes if Jordie ends up moving to 12.
-
SR 2022 top four after regular season:
Crusaders
Blues
Reds
Chiefs -
Hodgman will return to the AB squad, unless he prematurely signs with an overseas club.
-
As both RTS and CC are mentioned in this thread I thought it appropriate to link this in
-
Newbie: de Groot to improve his standing in the ABs.
Not a difficult prediction: Jordan to be even tinnier. Laulala to not improve on his around the field skills.
Celtic Dreaming: One more ginger will be selected this year.
Fairly likely: One of Taylor or Coles to be eased out.
Blue sky: An Umaga-Jensen will be seen at least once in the midfield. Which one? The one who has a twin brother. -
All Blacks will continue their downward spiral. 2023 is going to be an embaressment. As is the women's world cup this year
