Crusaders discipline, or more correctly tactics to give away penalties to slow ball, has finally caught up with them

Very good patience to execute that play. Pulled the Crusaders into the middle nicely.

Can Marshall please be fired from commentary?

Just took too long to finally break them down and we ran out of time.

    Fantastic defense Saders.

    Terrible attack Chiefs.

    This post worked!!!!

    This one too 😉

@machpants With the man with the hardest shoulders in the game on and the best left wing in the world, The Chiefs should just go home now.

    You know it

Good to see ya turning up on the thread, now the game is in the bag

Cripes that was annoying! But bloody hell, well done Chiefs! The Crusaders were ineffective at the breakdown and it let the Chiefs be relentless.

Like the look of Cortez Ratima for a debut game , looks tough around the ruck and not afraid to run ..high kick game will need some work
A definetly a first up game he wont forget ..

The Crusaders defence was very passive in the last 20 mins of that game. The Chiefs threw very little for 15 of it, but the Crusaders just seemed content on soaking up the tackles, not pressuring the breakdown which ended up being their downfall.

    Crusaders beat Hurricanes
    Hurricanes beat Blues
    Blues beat Chiefs
    Chiefs beat Crusaders

Unfortunately for the Highlanders they have lost to everyone.

@kirwan to be totally honest i have no issue with Marshall i know that he is very well respected by not only the guys that work with him but also the head of programmig at sky and at the end of the day thats the only person you have to impress ..hate tell you this but hes probably got a job at sky as long as he wants it .
I remember Murray Mexted polarising people , even guys Joe Wheeler and Sir John Kirwin who in my eyes are just plain embarrassing will always have jobs despite their obvious bias to their respective teams ..

    What a game.

    Chiefs bench was enormous.

Chiefs really dominated territory and possession didn't they.

I thought this was going to be another gutsy, but eventual loss, for the Chiefs after all of those handling errors and missed opportunities on attack in the 2nd half. I'm happy to be wrong. 🙂

Interesting tactics by the Chiefs to kick high on defence and take Jordan out of the game. Other teams will take note.

McMillan will have some big selection decisions to make for the Canes game. Ironic that Gatland didn't miss any of his goal kicks tonight.

@bovidae He remembers his Blues days fondly judging by his goal kicking in the last couple of weeks.

Finau better be really injured. Like, cant fucking walk injured, because we need a blindside flanker.

It looked like Finau was amongst the extra players on the field at the end, so maybe not too far away.

Funny we had a feeling Chiefs might do it with a better effort from the bench. Thought Retallick was back to his energetic best when it mattered. And great play from Chiefs 9s under lots of pressure. Wish Gatland could time his passes better as it looked liked the Crusaders kept lining them up.
Did not like the commentary from Justin Marshall. What did others think? Often talking up some players a lot after repeat mistakes. Completely missing some controversial plays and calls.
Oh well. Karma after last week.
