@Duluth Geez, that's a strong team. Only two players on the bench who don't or haven't played Super Rugby.

Agree it is looking strong on paper, especially the forwards. Any backline with McLeod in it still has the potential to get the wobbles, even at NPC level.

Hoping Burke will continue to improve. The Crusaders will need him soon.

The text of the team, because those images suck on phones:

Chay Fihaki, Manasa Mataele, Dallas McLeod, Rameka Poihipi, George Bridge, Fergus Burke, Mitchell Drummond, Cullen Grace, Tom Christie, Billy Harmon (c), Zach Gallagher, Sam Darry, Owen Franks, Brodie McAlister, Finlay Brewis

Reserves: Shilo Klein, Daniel Lienert-Brown, Seb Calder, Dominic Gardiner, Corey Kellow, Willi Heinz, Alex Harford, Will Gualter

Not great photography work on those profile photos honestly. They all look like middle aged farmers with rosacea. Terrible lighting.

I would have preferred George Bell on the bench instead of Shilo Klein.

The whole Manawatu front row comes from Canterbury club rugby funnily enough.

Paranihi played in Canterbury a bit but is from the Manawatū. Not sure about the others.

@Frye Oh yeah I know Paranihi is not from Canterbury, more the fact that he has played a lot of his club rugby down in Chch for Sumner. Harry Allan is a Sydenham product and Siua Maile is a Shirley player.

Thank God, not the fastest card ever seen in rugby. Was afraid he was going to pull a card.

And Laban is already confusing players. That was Poihipi, not Fihaki!

They are even playing music whilst the home town kicker lines up a shot at goal.
