@george33 the interview was yesterday afternoon with Beaver on Sportnation, Laidlaw said back training and hopefully next week he's ready, you can listen back to interview, I just caught the Proctor bit.

That’s great news. But won’t mean much if we don’t win this week as it could spell curtains on our season.

Shame for the guys finally returning, if we don't make playoffs. Hard to push for AB selection then.

I wouldn’t say that, you’re 2 points off 6th spot. Aussie sides are about to play a bunch of kiwi sides, still plenty of weeks left for the canes to climb up. Too much talent and potential to say the season would be over this early.

Yeah they might creep into the top 6 eventually but I think if you want to win this comp you really need to be in the top 3 at the very least. If they can beat the Crusaders on Friday and then the Force next week, they'll shoot right up the table and will finally have most of our players back. Here's hoping.

That's a handy looking selection to play at home. Front row battle should be interesting - I'd give the Canes the advantage here. How deep Hohepa stands from good delivery by Roigard and whether he looks to take on the line should go a long way to determining the outcome.

And of course the bench looks stronger for the home team. Injury toll for the Crusaders may be telling.

    Braydon ENNOR Hamstring
    4 weeks

He has to be the most unlucky player with injuries I have seen.
Has anyone missed more games than him?

Ethan? Or does he only get hurt for the ABs?

I'd be inclined to give Dave Havili the goal kicking responsibilities for this one - or maybe Fihaki (wasn't he doing the kicking for Canterbury in the NPC?).

Kemara must be at about 30% and sooner or later that will cost us.

@Chris Hugh Renton and Jona Nareki.

Renton missed pretty much all of 2017 - 2020, and then most of 2024, and five games so far this season.

Nareki has not played a full season of rugby...pretty much ever.

I think Ennor has been injured and unavailable for more games than Blackadder.

@Chris-B it’s been a concerning trend this season the goal kicking of Kemara. We want the kid to settle in and be confident but we are leaving a lot points out on the park from his boot.

@ACT-Crusader Yeah - not sure his goal-kicking will be doing much for his overall confidence.

Rob Penney needs to be very careful he doesn't end up shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted (changing his kicker after we sustain a loss).

Unless he's kicking the house down in training, I'd make a change. I've seen nothing that makes me think he's doing more than kicking the ball in the direction of the posts and hoping.

Classic the Sky crew are talking to Peter Umaga-Jensen while he is warming up and he proceeds to pull the fingers at one of the boys giving him shit. Don’t think he realised he was on TV. 😂

This Hurricanes culture is back to its unprofessional ways. I bet they are wearing hoodies to official team events.

    Hammer vindicated…..
