Judging on his actions over the last few years. Mis diagnosing the problem is serious if you want to actually fix things
But you are correct, speeches are not important actions are. He hasn't done shit and his supporters keep giving him a pass.

@Duluth yep, it's just effective politicking, not actual problem solving. Pointing out the failings of the opposition is fair game though, and always has been.
It's always hard to judge but if the republicans can focus on the behaviour and false rhetoric of the dems, then it somewhat resembles the last election in Britain, in my opinion. Will the people trust the left in charge like Britain didn't? -

Sure, I agree with that. Some people taking a victory lap over more empty words is what I disagree with. He had 2 years in control of the Government and he wasted it and since then all he has done is whined
I don't agree with Trump's illiterate economic policies but he has the correct enemies on the culture. Early in his administration he had people who had aggressive solutions. They weren't listened too and were among the long list of people sacked (and some didn't have offical roles but were also not listened to)

It's so hard to gauge the feeling in America when we're really only subjected to the 8% noisey ones.
I suspect, like Britain, the quiet voter who never expresses an opinion online is the winning and losing of an election nowadays.
So as a party do you promote what you'll do in charge, or what they'll do in charge to the electorate?
Given the dearth of deep debate and the appetite for explaining rational policies, I think both parties will focus on the "look at them" approach for the next 4 months. That'll be depressing.
The winner won't be the best, but the least worst.🤨 -

Hes done a large amount considering hes been under attack from the word go. Like
-Exposing the democrats and China. As the democrats and their media shout Russia Russia Russia
-Exposing the fake news media
-New US / Canada trade agreement that protects the US worker from cheap slave labor imported parts. So Canada imports from China and assemble a product that use to qualify as Canadian made
-Withdrawal from WHO and climate change agreements
-Border wall (progress only) and changes in immigration
-Appointing proper judges
-Start the process of bringing the troops homeTrump has a chance to change the world for the better. It was easy to just continue selling the US out. And serve the elite. Trump has moved in a different direction (that I support) but obviously has encountered huge resistance from these powerful elite
and he now has the structure in place (this was the key as it wasn't ever going to be completed in 4 years) to complete the job

I start typing a post at times and it just disappears. The only was to recover it is to reply and submit and then edit

Trump came out swinging in the primaries and made constant personal attacks on the other candidates. He then ramped that up in his campaign against Hilary. He's been on the attack from the word go, it's hardly surprising people have returned fire and some. He's been a key contributer to the partisan divide and the fake news in the States and he continues to feed the monster for his own gain.
That's not to absolve the left wing media outlets, they are just the worst, but this idea that he's been unfairly targeted and using that as an excuse for his lack of action is just pathetic. He's mostly just hot air.

Exactly this. Any suggestion that he’s been unfairly targeted in ludicrous.

Oh fuck off. Donald Trump is the very archetype of the powerful elite. He’s made no personal sacrifice. He’s got no concept of service or duty. He’s a bullshitter with an inheritance and a massive ego, who sucks in dimwits to believing his confidence tricks. You’d have to be stupid to fall for it and an absolute fuckwit to try and resell it for him.
and he now has the structure in place (this was the key as it wasn't ever going to be completed in 4 years) to complete the job
You mean he’s spent 4 years preparing for ... this? Seriously? What, is he Inigo Montoya?
