Trump clearly fan the flames of cheating and fraud. Comes across as a complete sore loser. It’s super tight the whole world can see that. You don’t see Biden (sorry sleepy joe) saying that same shit do you?
There’s a difference between trying to sound confident and ‘hang in there’ and outright lying and telling everyone you’re only losing because there’s fraud and cheating going on.
It’s an abysmal carry on."Bewildered Biden" is the latest nickname apparently.

It’s an abysmal carry on.He is behaving like a naughty child. Which seems to resonate with a significant number of his voters. But his challenge of mail in votes is a direct threat to the electoral process
-
He’s a genius really, for weeks and months he’s spouted on the only way he would lose would be if everyone else cheated.
I’m not sure what will be worse. 4 years of him on the news every night as POTUS or 4 years of him constantly telling everyone he was cheated out of being POTUS -
@Virgil and framing the way voting happens as suddenly unusual and a clear indication of cheating. I saw Mitch McConnell said they'd wait for the votes, asked why people were surprised about lawyers being involved (it's how we do things), and that he thinks they have won also. So he's only just stepped back from Trump's accusations of cheating, but at least he mentioned waiting till its all counted. Super close margins should have a recount but I hope the level of oversight avoids any 'accidents' happening.

TBF, both sides have been guilty of fanning the flames of division and rubbishing the electoral process. Calling an elected President "a two-bit dictator" as Obama did pretty much sums up the Democrats approach to healing division.
It’s an abysmal carry on.
Can't see any improvement either. Biden not winning by an expected landslide might make the Democrats think about reaching out to voters across the spectrum, but I doubt it. Certainly can't see Trump reaching out.

I agree with everything, but has Biden rubbished the electoral process? Real question.... I have only heard Trump use the C word (cheating)

If Trump loses, he's irrelevant within days if not hours. Politics is brutal like that.

That may be so. But as Hillary learned last time, and as Joe has learned this time, it is not helpful to focus on the faults of your opponent when trying to capture the hearts and minds of the people. That being said, after watching unedited speeches from Trump on and off over the last 4 years, I simply don't get the allure. He is like the your drunk bore of an uncle on Xmas day

@canefan nah, but he has taken shots at Trump. But that's an election isn't it? And Trump has history in how he labels his opponents, Crooked Hilary has entered the chat
Yeah, as I just said, not a great primary campaign strategy
-
Well I was way way too early calling Trump eh.
America is fucked.
Deeply divided country beset by structural issues that encourage ling deceitful politics. Trump isn't the first - its been going on for decades, he's merely the master.
Why is Trump so successful. For the same reasons as Hitler was. No I am not comparing him to Hitler, but there are very real comparisons you can make between the circumstances that fed the popularism that ultimately led to Hitler's ascension in a generally law abiding and sensible country. Traditional industries in decline. loss of overseas power, contempt for traditional politicians, civil unrest, feelings of betrayal. Cue a strong man who promises to put everything right - MAGA / Deutschland Uber Alles - restore former glory, drain the swamp, deal with the sickos, return to traditional values. You might hesitate because he's a disquieting person but it's a compelling argument. Especially when the alternatives are limp, lame duck, grey embodiments of all those that created the mess.

To play devils advocate here.
What if Trump is right? Have any of “extra”, “late” or “delayed” votes gone in his favour? Trumps odds (to put it simply) went from around 2.5 pre, to 1.1 after most votes counted. Now, after all the extras have been counted he’s back over 2.
Both Wisconsin and Arizona were called earlier for Trump. Now they are changed to Biden.
Something really smells here.

No. He's an elected President who appeals to nearly half the electorate.
His opponents failed to understand that for the last 4 years which is why they are struggling to win against a pretty appalling President.

It's the hair.

@MajorRage it would if there wasn't already a dem leaning trend to mailed in votes, as in a trend seen in prior elections. With covid and more people voting that amplifies things further.
-
@MajorRage Yes. Many delayed votes have gone in his favour.
Counting is still continuing in most of the states that have been called - just people aren't focusing on those.
According to the maps I'm looking at Wyoming is still only 95% in. South Dakota 92%. North Dakota 91%. Mississippi 71%. And on and on and on.
Don't take my word for it - look yourself

The tracking I’m looking at had had AZ as Biden the whole way through unless it flipped to trunk
And was called overnight? -
And apparently no action by the post office to the court order to find the 300k or so legal votes that haven't been delivered. Could play some real devil's advocate there 😁
-
I guess 2020 isn't done. A drawn out highly disputed election is probably the worst result. Sounds like there might be recounts and potentially head to the courts. If the Trump base feel they have been cheated will they protest? This might get really ugly.
