What a try saver from Black. Tahs deserved a bonus point for that 2nd 40.
Anyway, a wins a win, flush the dunny on that 2nd 40.

@antipodean the one I alluded to the guy was lying on the ground, while Hooper was attacking the ball, canes couldnt clean out...
poor finish for canes.
So is tha a week off for BB?
-
Game of two halves.
Imagine how good the Tahs would be without Phipps, Mumm and that
elephantwinger. -

Should be. Two clear professional fouls.

There are no entry guidelines for this type of thing. Sanction is at the discretion of the judiciary.
Didn't Lomu get a week off years ago for a two yellow = red? -

Didn't Lomu get a week off years ago for a two yellow = red?Yes, this is from the WR Handbook:
Looking at the type offences from BB, there was no dangerous play and they were relatively minor (no where near a red card offence), so my guess is that he'll either get a warning or a one week suspension.

One of Lomus cards was for a spear tackle on Nathan Grey though, that might have made a difference.
Except that spear tackles weren't a big deal pre that Irish guy that nearly died and there would have been mitigation that it was Nathan Grey on the receiving end.

I thought if you got three yellows EDIT: during the season it was a definite week off.
But a double yellow? Not sure that gets anything unless foul play was involved. EDIT: Or its your second and third cards for the year
It still comes under the 'foul play' section of the law book. The prescribed sanctions listed are more for the dangerous play/assault/ref abuse type of foul play though.

Games with little defensive application are the most fun to watch

I hope he gets a week for that because:
(a) I hate that kind of cynical play and would want any opposition player to get a ban as well, and
(b) The Canes are far too dependent on him and they should learn how to win games without him. Give boy child a chance or just chuck in his brother by another giraffe.
(c) He has a sore rib, can't take the kicks, and perhaps shouldn't be playing. Give him some rest. He's crucial for the Lions as well.
In other words, he deserves a ban, but a week or 2 off might be good for him, the Canes and even the ABs.

As a Blues fan - I agree - give Beauden a one week rest....
As a Chiefs fan any opportunity for the Canes to have a loss or no BP is welcome

Have you forgotten that there are two of them?

Relevant
In that case though he had two quite light YCs and a long period of playing time off.
BB only copped a couple of minutes extra onto his first 10.
Still more relevant than Lomu's card 17 years ago.
