Which 80's movie had the cheesiest hard rockin' theme song?

Iron Eagle had a good tilt at it.

Not even sure if I bothered with the other films when I was much less critical of sequels...

Joe "Cheese" Esposito definitely matches it......

Pretty sure that song was written by the woman who wrote Neutron Dance for the Pointer Sisters. That's a genuinely great song. Not so much the karate themed one.

You take that back. Every kid worth his salt practiced the "crane" while cranking out some Joe back in the 80s.

The film had it all, cool karate, Pat Morita, those nasty cobra kai boys, winning hurt, and Elizabeth Shue was hawt

She was typical 80s trash. The sensei of cobra kai was a great villain

Interesting fact. The bloke who played Terry Silva was ONE year older than Ralph Macchio even though the characters would have been at least twenty years apart.

He was a good villan too in a gresy, 80s kind of way.

@MN5 that's classic. Ralph was baby faced though. "sweep the leg!" is still a classic line

So Macchio was 23 when he played that character? fark...

    EDIT: and Shue was 21.

So I went to the Event Cinema on George Street (Sydney) last night to watch this little film called The Godfather. And, it was awesome. Best film ever made. 10 taken cannolis out of 10 left guns.

I've actually been waiting years for a big screen version of the Godfather. I missed it by a week in the UK in 1998 when it was re-released. Event Cinemas do a cult film screening once a month and luckily for me decided one of the biggest films of all time was a 'cult' film.

The one bum note about it (aside from the fact the theatre was full and I couldn't put my feet up on the chair in front like I normally do) was that rather than starting the film they had two idiot hype men from some radio station gibber jabber for 20 minutes before the film started - not only were they shit but they also got their facts wrong. If I go to another one I'll wait half an hour before going in.

Anyway, still the greatest film ever made. Brando, Pacino and Duvall are all brilliant.

    Bite your tongue.

Had you said Karate Kid 2 closing song with Peter Cetera singing Glory of Love, maybe. But the Best Around is amazeballs!

@rustycruiser Peter Cetera has some cred.

How about this? Perhaps Celine Dion should have sung the song as originally intended.

I still have a lot of time for Top Gun and either of the theme songs by Berlin or Kenny Loggins. Still has the best aerial combat scenes ever
