Expecting a response from the Chiefs loosies after being dominated last weekend. If they can't, they peaked too early in the season and a semifinal is the best they can hope for.

Time for McMillan to settle on his best 23, and loose forward trio. I am assuming DMac is available and ENS might be back soon.

An interesting note: Jahrome Brown hasn't played in the three Chiefs losses.

@Bovidae Not sure why your coach would play Boshier? Seems a step down from Super Rugby regulars.

@Tim He isn't an effective 7, particularly against the top teams. Boshier's best position is no.8.

We need the right balance in the loosies. I suspect Jacobson will be openside to allow Sititi to start at no.8 in this game.

Chiefs can do it but after second half against the Canes, I fear they might mentally fold/peaked too early. Playing D Mac and Sititi who won’t be 100% fit shows that McMillan is not taking any risks.

Nice to see McKenzie and McAlister back. I think McAlister has been a pretty underrated signing tbh. Should be a belter of a game. Crusaders favourites for sure.

With BOK as ref that is a guaranteed win for them. 😉

Certainly hope so. I'll be more than happy to win!

@Bovidae Ben owes us about 67 minutes of cards - plus interest at minimum 6 percent - for ALB not being upgraded to red in the 2023 Final, and I hope he doesn't forget. 🙂

Blackadder for Christie would be significantly better.

Not sure whether we could somehow deploy Brewis instead of Calder.

Big test for Rivez. Kemara has gone decently in general play (not so much in his more recent outings), but his goal kicking has been well below standard. If Rivez can match him in general play, this will be a useful upgrade. If not, we'll have to use O'Çonnor to start. A good test!

Ennor will be rusty, but from what I've seen he's signifcantly better than McLeod or Aumua. Hope he can stay fit.

@Chris-B ahhhh the truck and trailer try from Codie Taylor and the final penalty in that game defs made up for it. No point dwelling on the past anyway.

    Fuck you

@Yeetyaah you mean ‘legal maul’ since the mid 2010s….

@ACT-Crusader 3 players in front without being latched on at all? Yeah nah.

    Sounds legal to me!

In all seriousness, the maul has been a problem for the past 2 decades. Players joining on the side and in front after the maul has been formed has been the biggest blight but is so rarely called.

There’s the set up obstructions as well, plus the calls of “use it” and when it doesn't get used, it’s not called.
