Williams back for the final and Springer on the wing are the only changes I am hearing from the Blues game.
Some doubt over Newell he may also not pull up fit.

For the sake of NZ rugby and the ABs, I hope the Chiefs beat the Crusaders well. I don't know what the fuss is about with Ethan. I watched him closely for passages of the game last weekend. He's almost always late to the breakdown, and when he gets there he flops onto the ruck and maybe gives it a push if at all. But I wouldn't say he seems to hit the rucks with any sort of ferocity. He's shit at carrying, doesn't have a passing game, and isn't really a dominant tackler (just ask Caleb). I must be missing something. But if I'm not, I hope he and the rest of the pack are exposed by the Chiefs

I hope he has a bad game (which he hasn’t this season, in fact he has been the complete opposite) and is then named on the 23rd.

. I will be worried for the ABs if they don't.

So how the rest of us felt last year when a truck load of the failing Cantabs were selected in the ABs?

    Good news!

Expected news - but, I would have thought long and hard about McNicholl instead (or maybe even McLeod). Get into it Macca!

Was it Waisake Naholo who got some sort of miracle cure before a test with some Fijian leaves? Get some of those leaves Fletch - your team needs you - quite badly!

Sam Matenga has been training in the 23 so if Fletch is out I expect Sam will be on the bench.

But have you been watching him closely like others do? 🙂

Tamaiti to go close to 80mins at tighthead you’d think if Newell doesn’t go… scary thought coming off the knee injury. Crusaders will be hoping and praying Newell is fit to go.

Yeah I think so although Bower has trained at TH and Williams at LH.Maybe they start Bower at TH.
I heard it was a bang on Tamaiti's knee and not ligament damage I am not sure if that's 100% correct or they are playing down the injury.

That would be quite a loss.

Matenga promoted ahead of presumably Calder? Is he also injured?

Not that I have heard about an injury.

He could have a shocker, and I fully expect him to be named

Sam featured earlier in the season. He’ll be up for it. Would be ideal to have our 3 AB props fit and firing for the big dance, but I’m more worried about the drop off we’ve seen a few times this season when Taylor has been replaced.

Which is a worry when Bell is presumably the next in line for ABs if any of the top 3 are injured.....

Mature reaction from some chiefs fans
“It's a bit trite, but now this has turned into something bigger than Africa, I am a little bit concerned about people who say ‘I'm going to show you how I can wave my cowbell around’,” Mansbridge said on Wednesday.

“I've already received threats this morning by phone, by email, from people who are very passionate about it.

“Some person suggested they're going to bury a cowbell in my head, that's how they're feeling about it.”

@Chris I'm not sure why Chiefs fans are all upset.

Maybe don't bottle your home QF vs the #6 seed and you could host the playoffs and ring your cowbells as much as you like.

@Chris at least in 2023 Chiefs fans waited until after they lost the game to jump to the death threats. It's nice that they've retroactively justified the ban by threatening to use them as weapons on team officials

some form of fun in the crowd being banned for spurious reasons?

was this decision made by @Nepia ?

And does this mean he has jumped to his 3rd franchise? If so that bodes well for us, failure follows him.
