@reprobate But, Beaudy is the incumbent starting first five?

And from what I've seen in the past few weeks it will be a bit surprising if he's not starting the first test vs France.

Yeah but he kicks all our ball away and has been doing it for years. At some point we need to move on and blood the young players.

It's a test series, we move on and blood new players when they as good or better.
And add Reihana had good game last night but anyone picking any player on a couple of good games (or bad ones) isn't thinking. Form over time is surely more important

If we only ever picked 'form over time' who knows what would have happened to players like Wallace Sititi, Brodie Retallick, Sam Whitelock, Joe Rokococo, RIchie McCaw, Christian Cullen, and Jonah Lomu etc

Reihana is already 25 with 70 first class games and a Super Rugby win. When he became a regular starter this season the Crusaders went on a 6 game winning streak including 3 finals. Sititi only started in 6 winning games for the Chiefs last year before selection.

I'm shocked and stunned to hear you think the AB selectors weren't thinking when they selected Sititi.

Hopefully Jacobson's head is OK, I mean he has 2 weeks to get it right, but gee, looked a nasty knock to be able to come back on from.

@taniwharugby Yeah - looked like he was out cold. Assuming he's in the squad, that would likely be a place for them to name someone as injury cover.

@Chris-B makes you wonder if they use video footage of head knocks to add to thier evidence, or is just the cognitive tests theyntake into account?

Was awful seeing his eyes after the impact.

    Someone mention goalposts?

    Found them!

Jordie has had quiet games, not shockers,

Guess you are you are still picking your way through YouTube.

Someone on Reddit said they saw Reihana in NP this morning.

I'm not sure it sounds right. A guy from the final the night before on an early flight.

Also, are they rolling the squad out at Coastal?

You just making shit up. Sititi I think was palying as good as anyone for most of last season . Who were the players who were better than him at 6/8 who were left out?

@george33 cant say i’m a Finau fan , i thought this was the perfect game for him to make a presence and shut a critic like me up but for mine he was too quiet i dont think Blackadder is the answer either but you cant deny how busy he was .
Finau does’nt make my team personally someone like TK Howden has shown more of a consistent presence during the comp

Brodie RetallicK, ,Sam W,Christian Cullen were at least as good as the players they were picked ahead of, same as Richie. Unless you can tell me the players that were better. Sititi played 13 games for Chiefs last year, so had built up a good resume'. Reihana , who I like is suddenly getting called an AB after an admittedly good game yesterday, and wasn't even first choice for Crusaders until injury to Kemara, another who looks to have a good future. As I say for tests, you shouldn't pick players on potential, they have a bad one and then the calls from same people will be he shouldn't be there. I strongly suspect he would be a very good choice in Maori's then NZXV and let him become the best 10.

    @Dan54

Wallace Sititi only started 8 out of 15 games last year. He's started 13 Super Rugby games his entire career. Not even a full seasons worth

Also Hoskins Sotutu was Super Rugby Player of the year and helped his team win a title. Something Sititi is yet to do.

Sititi was a player of potential with a handful of good games but he wasn't obviously the best which is why his selection was controversial in the media.

The irony is - picked as a 10 - what runs on the board does Ruben Love have? Half a dozen Super Rugby starts?

Little more at 10 than Rivez. And no trophy to show either. Unless they pick him as a 10/15

Not sure, didn't count. But I know he played most of season, and with MacMillan's way of using team, he likes to use his bench. But genuinely, who were the batter 6/8s than him last year is what I asked. I thought over the season, there weren't any who were better ,that missed out on ABs. That's what I meant, but you may believe there was some, and that's fine, just remind me.

Sorry Brodean just pointed out that Sititi started 8 games last year, and I believe the rest of his 13 games in super were also last year from bench.
