Spinners suddenly getting sharp turn in the second session. Smith goes and Oz is 208/6.

They may be hoping that first session by Smith and Warner turns out to be decisive.

Fun watching Yadav the Chinaman bowler!

Another match evenly poised at the end of day 2. The last hour was gripping, the Aussie bowlers have performed incredibly well IMO.

If the Indian tail can wag and pinch a 30-50 run lead then it's advantage India. But if we can rattle through them and get the lead ourselves then I'd fancy our chances.

But there is still a long way to go. What a great series.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am tempted to say this is the best series since 2005.

I actually think a 50 run lead to India is even-stevens given they have to bat last, they'll be wanting at least that.

I've probably watched more of this series than the BCs and Proteas one. Not that the cricket is significantly better but the combination of good cricket, pressure, drama and crowd atmosphere make this very comparable to 2005.

Not a fan of either OZ or India but still makes for great viewing.

You'd have to think that if they get Smith cheaply, India will go on to win this. However, if they don't - they'll end up with a very tricky assignment into Day 5.

@mimic I'm happy to use up my kiss of death on Aussies. Sorry Steve! 🙂

Renshaw also goes and they're on the slide.

    Shaun Marsh to save them?

Not yet, anyway - because Maxwell has come in at five.

I'm guessing Marsh is in the Bog?

You know, I wasn't sold, but seeing aussie rolled for 100 makes me think this might be the best test series since 2005....

    So ...

    ... did Vijay catch it?
... did Smith call him a "fucking cheat"?

I reckon he caught it but there was sufficient doubt.

It wouldn't surprise me if Smith did mouth off. Wears his heart on his sleeve and has trouble controlling his emotions.

So it looks like a series defeat for Australia, after it started so well.

You look at the series, and it's a story of batting collapses. India had two in the first test, but have managed to get scores in all the rest (I'm being generous with the 189 to start the 2nd test). Aus collapsed in the 2nd chasing a getable total, and again in this one.

The series averages kinda back that up, Smith has 500 runs @ 71, but his next highest team mate is Wade with 196, and Warner with 193. Spin specialist Marsh has 151 for the series (did play that good knock to save the 3rd). India have survived on the back of Pujara (405 @ 68) backed up by Rahul (355 @ 59).

Shit returns for Warner and Marsh, while the youngsters have battled as well, but that's to be expected. One other top order player steps up over the series and it might look very different.

Marsh - fucking hopeless again. One important innings, basically. Rest of the time, dud.
