BB getting some gametime at 15 is good for the ABs - I like the idea of BB at 10 for 60 mintes, then Cruds comes on at 10 for the final 20, with BB dropping to the back, B Smith to 14 and Dagg subbed. Allows us to both start BB and use him as a super-sub at the end.
-
@No-Quarter haven't the canes been doing that?

How is Ben May getting a starting spot at the moment. I thought he was generally a bit shit?
Hurricanes prop rotation is a bit hard to follow.
Pretty sure Goodes (injured) is the first choice loosehead and Toomaga-Allen is the first choice tighthead.
Eves and May can each play both sides, though Eves is more a tighthead - even though he started at loosehead last week. May is starting at loosehead this week, even though he was the tighthead reserve last week.
Kainga is this week's tighthead reserve and Uhila has been reserve loosehead both weeks.
I think I've worked that out right.
Doesn't really answer your question - but, I'd guess Eves is being rested or injured and they like Uhila's impact off the bench (or don't think he's ready to start).

I don't read much at all into squad rotations at this point in the tournament against lesser teams. Depending on draws this is the time when you want to start freshening guys for the end game.
I would certainly be taking any opportunity to rest a player expected to take part in the ABs. It may be their only chance for a rest.
Selecting BB at fullback is a clever idea and good for the ABs. Let him off the leash a bit after being constrained against the Crusaders and have some fun. -
Pissed off they still have Aso at 13. Chuck Jordie in at 12 or 13.

No concern for player welfare eh? Boyd has stated that JB needs a rest. This is his first year at this level and it's no use thrashing the kid.

If they should rest someone it's BB, especially as he's apparently playing with an injury.
I'm happy to give Jordie a rest, but if you're going to rest him why have him on the bench? Rest him properly if he's shattered.

Crusaders really targeted him last week too, roughed him up a bit.
Not surprised he's a bit sore after that

Anyone know when Proctor is back?
Never mind google is my friend. Concussion is becoming a serious factor for the canes.

Jeez, a 30 point head start at the TAB with a new 10 seems generous to me.
Beaudy is on the field though right?
