@taniwharugby Hmm, I wonder if his name was Garces?

$19K may not get you a top of the range rolex, but it will get you a nice Tag or Cartier....

@MiketheSnow Davies was immense on attack and defence and played every minute of the series. So glad he was names man of series ahead of the wankstain that is Itoje.

Don't get the love for him in the NH press and amongst Lions fans. He reminds me of Frank Bruno. Superb physical athlete just a shame he doesn't know how to play the game. I'm undoubtedly over-reacting but he strikes me as a bit meh and would add nothing to the AB's. Gladly have Davies in midfield though.

He's getting incredible hype in the NH. Just the other day there was silly talk about him being the first million pound player in the world. Why would someone say that other than to purposely hype him up?! Knowing the media its probably another case of reverse racism. Not Itoje's fault.

I thought Henderson should have gotten a game at least as a sub.

What could Henderson have offered that Farrell, Davies and Te'o couldn't?

    Nothing IMHO.

What may have made a difference was a different type of player like Tipuric, or has been mentioned Billy Vunipola or Johnnie May.

Although it would have been great to see Hogg and North fully fit and firing.

wonder if he is gutted about that decision by Poite 😉

He certainly wasn't gutted but the bookies didn't mind paying out to him because they really cleaned up after that draw.

Latest theory doing the rounds was that Read was in front of Barrett at the kick off and therefore offside. This has been backed up by a video with Read not in shot!

And by the way, congratulations to the lions for the series win.

In years gone past refs were hot on players in front of the kicker at restarts, but go and watch pretty much any game these days and there is someone just in front of the kicker, is all trying to get that little advantages and pushing the ref.

Similarly, hookers feet on the line when throwing in, something refs used to police, but do not any longer (didn't this deny Fox a try too)

Irrespective of whether Read was in front - that wasn't what the officials looked at / for. Recidivist poring over video doesn't alter the fact that the two Frogs were wrong in what they did.

We all know that if we want to review everything ad nauseum almost every play will be blown up because generally somewhere someone is infringing in some way.

We already have a stop start bastardised super slo mo version of the game in North America. We don't need to replicate the worst aspects of that game in rugby. Unfortunately there is a growing trend to do just that.

Boo can add refs who review every try - just because. Gutless little pricks

A bit harsh calling them gutless little pricks. They do it because if they get something wrong they get crucified in social media and by the general media. Until we fans accept mistakes are going to be made, and not go postal when they are, the video checking is not going to stop.

@Crazy-Horse What rattles my cage is the fact that the majority call for a review even when there is zero ZERO chance that anything has occurred that will cancel out the try

Yep, when Gardner went the other way in the Reds vs Canes game he made the wrong call 4 times.

IIRC they don't replay stuff on the big screens in soccer matches (perhaps some cricket stadiums as well?). I think it's time they do that it rugby now. It's starting to kill the game. Despite the appalling Poite fuck up we can get on with our lives just fine. I'd rather the odd howler than every game being stop-started like a farking video game to check whether a toe might have been in touch 25 phases back.

In an ideal world perhaps, but they are humans not robots. I bet none of them want to be in the middle of a media shit storm.
