Yep, and be careful on here. This forum tends to be a bit centre/centre right -- who here picked the Greens to increase their vote over Meteria's DPB admissions?
If Jacindamania can last 5-6 weeks, it's all on due to the big advance voting that goes on these days. Will be interesting to see how the glow lasts when there are actual debates, and when policies are discussed. So far it's been a cult of personality.

Isn't that what politics has evolved to now? John Key was constantly in the limelight, he was very good at handling the media whereas Bill gives the impression he doesn't really care for it. I mean he's barely in the regular news cycle. Some might say that is a good thing but it doesn't capture the attention of wavering voters. I have a couple of individual sources that say English is a funny engaging guy in private but this doesn't translate. Trump showed how far public perception can take you

@canefan following the Turia debacle and this apparent 'Jacinda effect' he will have no option but to front up more.
He needs to show a pulse. He should ask Shag about improving his media profile

You could float a warship on the amount of wanking off over Ardern. It's all a bit revolting on Stuff. Anyone would think she is the lovechild of Clark and Savage with the wit of Lange in his prime.
English needs to be a bit careful. I think we've seen more than a few major votes around the world this year that have been decided on perception and emotion, not fact or logic.

I think I've come up with a word to describe the fatigue one suffers from reading too many columns on Ardern:
Jaundicinda.

I see on planet rugby they are posting all sorts of innuendo about Paula Bennett but none of them actually have the balls to post what they got sent on facebook. Reminds me a bit of the rumour about Helen Clarks husband that was doing the rounds back in about 2006 , everyone who told me it insisted that it was true and they had a really reliable source .
Personally I think the rumours you really want to be true are the ones you should be the most wary of particularly if you got them on facebook ffs. -

Some Green MPs with an ounce of integrity, well I never.

She'd be fucked if she got a fraud conviction

Just looked up Kennedy Graham, huge loss to them.

@taniwharugby yeah but that wouldn't be till after the election, by which time the Greens hope they will be in government.
It must be pretty shit to be an MP with some integrity to sit there squirming as this woman gets you tarred with her brush as an unprincipled liar. IMO though these two have waited a bit long, it looks like they are trying to consolidate their personal votes after taking the benefit of Metiria's feral poll bump. On the other hand I'm a known cynic...

Hahahahahaha
The party is understood to be furious at how the two MPs have handled it - going outside normal parliamentary channels to tell media of their plans

Normally it's Labour finding ways to self-destruct... Nice to see another bastion of left-wing politics implode for a change.
Still, that's just a minor distraction. The most important question of the election for everyone else is:
Whatcha gonna do when Jacindamania runs wild on you?
